Vermont only one day behind! ;-) but my town's mail service is many days behind since I received the letter only on the 18th (date 11th)...

Greetings:

I mailed our I-130 petition to the Chicago lock box on March 5, 2008 (overnight) and it was received on the 6th by Bustamante.

I have been told everything from two weeks to 90 days for the NOA-1 so I would like to keep track and see where it actually hits.

Check was cashed yesterday, March 12th. Moving pretty swiftly! Hopefully now they're working through the kinks...

If you filed in March 2008 or thereabouts, please post so that we can track it.

Thanks and Regards...

Here is my details. I am filing I-130 for IR-1/CR-1. MY service center is Califronia Service Center (CSC)

I-130 sent on 03/01/2008

I-130 "Received Date" : 03/04/2008

NOA1 Left CSC: 03/10/2008

NOA1 arrived in mail: 3/13/2008

thx,

CS

Thanks for keeping the list!

Is any of you filing for K3? If so, is it because your embassy with CR1? Or because you think it will get approved before the CR1? Anyone filed yet?

No, we didn't file K3. It seemed

kinda redundant and complicated

with the whole switching back and

forth/racing to see which one's

approved, etc. Strictly CR-1/IR-1

for us.

Good luck!

I'm also able to see it online so I'm sure I'll start obsessively checking our status.

I wouldn't worry yet but I understand how much we all want to see some kind of progress! Its so hard being away from the ones that we love!

My NOA-1 was marked March 20 but my check didn't clear until March 22. I'm not sure when my NOA-1 was delivered because I was away. So it took them nine days from the date they received my package (March 13) until they cashed my check (March 22). I think it also depends on your particular bank in regards to how quickly checks clear. I know when I was using a little local bank, processing times took longer than the large national bank that I use now (or maybe it just took longer to get on their website). Don't worry - your check will clear soon!

Hi March Filers!

I had a little down time today and started looking into the K-3 visa. I decided to write here in our thread because we are all at the same stage in this process and I haven't found a great thread elsewhere with sufficient answers or maybe I just couldn't find it.

I saw that Gracey has filed an I-129F and I'm wondering what everyone else is planning on doing. Its my understanding that the K-3 can go a lot faster (especially at NVC) and that my husband can travel between the U.S. and Italy on it while the I-130 is still pending (or we can apply for Adjustment of Status here). I called USCIS and the woman I spoke to strongly suggested I apply for it because at this stage it doesn't cost any extra and because it was going to take "234 days to adjudicate the I-130" (thats not counting the NVC and Italy part)!!!. I'm thinking its worth a try so that my husband can at least visit me here! My vacation time, holidays, and personal days can only be stretched so far for trips to visit him!

For those of you that have filed or are planning to file the I-129F, what are you sending with it? The person from USCIS said I only need to send the I-129F, a copy of the NOA1 (as evidence of the I-130), and a copy of my marriage certificate. She said that the G-325A didn't need to be sent again because it had already been sent with the I-130. This is all in contrast to what the VJ guide says: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k3guide. I wish the guides included WHY certain things should be sent when USCIS instructions indicate otherwise: http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-129Finstr.pdf (only documents from Items 1,2 and 4 are required). I verified this requirement with USCIS (not that they actually know anything).

I would love to hear what everyone thinks!

Jennifer
