How close to interview do I send documents?

I am very happy to say I have recived our NOA2 and now have also recived the letter from the NVC that my papers will be sent to Manila, Philippines.

I am now working on the papers I need to send to my fiancee for her interview. My qusetion is how close to the interview should things like my bank statments, proof of on going relationship, and other dated material. Is it wise to send my papers to her now even if she does not have the interview for 2 months? Or should I wait to find out when the interview is and then send them?

It partly will depend on your consulate. For example, in china we'll have to wait 5-6 months from NVC to interview. There are a few documents which we know should be recent, such as the intent to marry, letter from employer, pay stubs and of course some some of evidence of a relationship. I'm not sure how recent the visa officer will ask these documents to be though, and it likely depends on the officer.

Other documents can be sent anytime. I think what I will do, is send everything, then send updates of these more critical documents when the interivew is near. That way, she will have at least something for the interview incase the later mail is very slow to arrive.

In your case, I'd say 2 months is is plenty close and you can go ahead and send everything.

I know I'm dealing with a completely different country, but here's what I did. I waited until the last two weeks to send everything. Making sure that everything was as recent or current as possible. This is important for the paystubs, letter from employer, intent letter. Well, good luck to you!

I wouldn't trust the mail service so much to wait till 2 weeks ahead of time. On Feb 4th, I sent a small valentines packet, thinking 6-10 days and it would arrive. Here it is, March 7th and it still hasn't arrive nor been sent back to me (that was an international flat rate USPS envelope). The previous time, I sent something by USPS express, they claimed 3-5 days but it took twice that.

Is DHL a bit more reliable?

i used ups to send somethings to perviz in kashmir i paid for fast delivery they promised five days it took two and half weeks..........
