Hi.

I'm working on my AOS packet and had a question:

I have two passports, A valid one and the expired one with my valid Visa inside.

1.) Am I suppose to send them photocopies of both of them? Should I notify them, some how that I have Two? How?

2.) Am I suppose to send them copies of the entire passport or else?

3.)Are B/W copies are enough or I need To make them In color?

4.) Any suggestions about how to make the copies? Will it be O.K to put every two pages of the passport on one page?

Thank you so much for your help...

Can't wait being experienced enough to help others too... :-)

1. I think if you copy the current one and the biographical page and visa from the other, you would be alright. But you could copy both just in case.

2. Yes

3. BW is fine.

4. Copy facing pages together.

when they say "a copy of your passport", do they really mean a copy of every inch of your passport? I only sent the interesting bits from my passport - bio page, visa page + the stamp on the oposing page, I-94 page - not every single page in the passport. I did the same for the K1 and they didn't mind.

i can't imagine they really want to see every page, even blank ones.

Just copy the whole thing, why take a chance of getting someone who wants to see all of it rather than the "interesting" bits. Better safe than sorry..................

I disagree. I think that what officers want to see is exactly what is written in the instructions. Making them flip through 50 unneccessary sheets of paper isn't going to earn you very much of their leeway.

From K1 and K3, according to this website's own guide, you just need the bio page and the visa page.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k1k3aos

And if you google it, you won't find any official mention of copying all pages, just websites from third parties giving advice. Some embassies say they want all non-blank pages, presumably to see where else you've had visas for.

i can't imagine they really want to see every page, even blank ones.

All we sent for the photocopies of my passport were:

- Main page of passport with my passport number, picture, etc.

- Visa

- I-94, front and back

Can't remember how many copies... but there were a few because there were the 3 forms. (For EAD, AP and AOS)

If I had two passports I would probably send copies of the main pages of both, and maybe attach a short note explaining why.

I would not bother copying every single page... I agree, I don't think they care to see every single page. ;)
