The reality is there are big problems a foot if 1. one center processes in 20 days the next 120 days it shows very poor management. I dealt with the USCG when a new requirement came in to ceritfy all the new casino boat crews-new 10 years ago- so the USCG office in those areas were flooded with thousands of applications they did not shift the work load to the next slowest they spread it around smartly!!!!!!! Some thing appers really wrong with 1. there managment pratcies and 2. The different standards the apply i.e. defferent every time

I'm sure Bin Ladin had his problems too but I never felt sorry for him. We all know it must be difficult to feed this moster they have created, but remember they created it.

Everybody understands security and fraud prevention, but many of these waits are for things that they have made much more difficult than necessary. It is like the IRS complaining about taxes. There is no reason that this can't be easy. Nobody is trying to circumvent the need for security.

I agree 100%. Sorry...I don't feel sorry for them. What I have found is that they create their own extra work by not supplying is with correct information. We have to call back over and over again for the same thing. Petitions sent back that could have been dealt with at the consulate, now that does create them extra work, but when I hear from them one time that they are processing cases like mine 2 months before my priority date, I am going to give it about 2 months before I call back. Then 2 months later I hear I need to wait another 8 month? What happened in those 2 months?????

It would help if they were a little more polite to some people on the phone !! lol

Suprisingly I have had a couple of very kind and informative immigration officers, but by far the majority of them are either rude or ignorant of what is going on.

Totally agree....polite AND know what the heck they are talking about. One day I called 3 times and got 3 totally different answers!

 Now that is exactly what I mean!

BTW, they have an outsourced call center, so the USCIS doesn't have to deal with the calls unless you can convince the call center that you have a problem serious enough to talk to an officer.

'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, What a Ride'

This is a good point I wanted to bring up as well. It is not necessarily the employees that are broken, its the system and management thereof. And I think this evidence (one center takes 20 days the other 120 days) is about as much proof as you need.

K1 Visa Process long ago and far away...

02/09/06 - NOA1 date

12/17/06 - Married!

AOS Process a fading memory...

01/31/07 - Mailed AOS/EAD package for Olga and Anya

06/01/07 - Green card arrived in mail

Removing Conditions

03/02/09 - Mailed I-751 package (CSC)

03/06/09 - Check cashed

03/10/09 - Recieved Olga's NOA1

03/28/09 - Olga did biometrics

05/11/09 - Anya recieved NOA1 (took a call to USCIS to take care of it, oddly, they were helpful)
