Ugh, the second link I posted won't work. It will take you to the "track by number" screen instead for some bizarre reason. But go ahead and try the "track by reference" option. It should work.

Ohh...Thank you...

I found our petition on DHL website...

It says Arrived at DHL facility on 3/19/2008..

But nobody signed for it yet...

Thank you guys....We will call embassy tomorrow again...

Apple,

You must not have a lot of experience with US civil service employees. It's very likely that even after they have signed for the package, they may say we haven't received it yet for days or even weeks. The day they physically receive it and the day they open it and start to process it can be far apart. This is why some embassies take 1-3 months after NVC sends it out to get a packet 3 out to the beneficiary. It just sits there in some bin or on somebody's desk.

I hope yours is processed faster.

I called NVC again today, ours is still not in their system. I was told I have to give them 2-4 weeks to receive it. and that I should call back next week. Which is better than the person yesterday who said that I had to expect it would take up to 90 days.

Hey Ryan,

We got approved about the same time. I've been calling NVC since last Friday but they still don't have our docs yet.

I was also told about the 90 days ####### last Monday night and it just went in my one ear, out the other. I will call them every night until I know it gets there. I have to change my SO's address before it leaves NVC so I'm gonna call everyday.

I do hope CSC sends NVC our docs soon and we don't have to wait much longer!!!

OMG, are you serious??? No, I don't want to delay the processing.

So should I email the embassy in Barbados to do the beneficiary's address change there? I guess I can change it from there?

Thanks for the heads up, applewow.

I tried the DHL trick, and it looks like a package left for Vancouver on Mar 7th, arriving on Mar 10th. I'm going to assume mine was in that package! I'm hoping Packet 3 will be in my mailbox any day now. I've got form DS-230 all ready go. That was no picnic, by the way - trying to remember all of the times I've been to the US! As with many Canadians, I've been there dozens of times...

Hurry up with packet 3!!!

I think I'd try emailing the consulate either way, Lucian's Girl. Just in case NVC does not make the correction!

Meridien, my fiance scarily enough is able to remember every trip he took to the US. I can't remember where I put my car keys 5 minutes ago but he can remember which weekend he drove to Great Falls, Montana, in 1976. I grew up along the border. Even if I could remember every trip I ever took to Canada, I'd have to kill off a few old growth forests to print out a complete list of them.

Thanks Applewow and Sonoran. :)

I'll wait till the embassy in Barbados has our file. As of now, NVC has not received our docs yet and I don't want to risk delaying anything.

I'll email Barbados to change my SO's mailing address once they receive it. I read threads here that the beneficiary's address only matters at that stage so s/he can receive packets 3 and 4.

That's true too, lucy4! :D LOL Isn't your fiance still waiting for packet 3 even after getting his visa? The Caribbean mail system (or lack thereof) is crazy....

I'll email Barbados and get his addy changed and also ask if I can submit the packet 3 requirements to them by email since the mail is super slow, hopefully they allow it (they wouldn't for Iriecat).

I think I will hold off calling again until middle of next week. Someone else told me that I need to wait 2-4 weeks, and she actually scoffed when I told her that the notice date was 03/11. So, I'm going to wait.
