Case resume processing after RFE

I had gotten an Request for initial evidence letter, and I will mail in the documents today. How will i know that they have started to process my case again. will i get a letter or do i just play the guessing game?

Well, I got my Biometrics Appointment letter today. It's scheduled for 03/12/08. I was actually scheduled to do a driving skills test on that day around the same time so I had to reschedule...

When we sent in our RFE we were guessing for 3 weeks, and then finally they updated it to say that our RFE was received. My case was approved two days later after the update.

Just try to be patient... for the first few weeks anyway. My guess is that they just have a LOT of mail to sort through... that's probably why they took 3 weeks after our RFE arrived (we sent by USPS with a tracking # so we knew it arrived) to get moving on my case.

Yeah, I know what you mean. They lost my medical (the reason for our RFE) so I was worried they lost our RFE too. They just took awhile to get to it though (thankfully!) We're glad to have this done with... well for a year and a half anyway!

If you send it registered, at least you'll be able to track it and know it's been received at the right place. Then of course..it's just a waiting game until they update online, no hardcopy letter. Mine was quick, I knew they'd received the package and thena couple days later the staus was updated as having rec'd it.

make sure you've got the option to receive email updates turned on!
