Are we truly in love?

How do we know if we are truly in love? it is true love if it can stand the test of time, if our interest in each other and fondness grow more and more with each passing day? It is true love if ' Absence makes the heart grow fonder'.. it is true love if because of it we feel whole and happy?

but there are other factors to consider if marriage is in mind. ..beauty is an overrated factor. although this may be enough to attract..right?...Age is an important factor especially since mature, well adjusted individuals have greater chances of having a successful marriage than adolescents.

Regarding great discrepancies in ages, what may happen is that a much older husband will assume a father's role..eew..and a much older wife, a mother's role toward the spouse..if such is the case, however and the situation is aggreable to both, who can object? we know of many May-December couples in the philippines who are very happy.

Difference in religious faith would not pose a problem if both spouses have the maturity and strenght of character to make a marriage work..but because getting married is gamble enough, why take on a additional problem? although we know of mixed marriages that are successful, this matter needs some thought and counsel..

Money does not seem to bother the present generation of young people as much as it did in earlier generations.if both husband and wife work, they can earn enough together to support the family..however, financial straits may crop up when family expenses rise, when the wife has to stop working to care for the children or when financial hopes fail, this is a crisis that will test their strength of character, love and understanding, fortunately numerous married couples hurdle money problems and build stronger, happier marriages in spite of financial problems...

compatibility,or the ablity of two people to get along with each other can be tested only by the marriage itself...personality background, health and heridity too..family background seems to be a factor in marriage

of course , success in marriage is never a sure thing, the best is marriage may turn out unhappy just as the blind leap may turn out very well

Love, we believe , after all has been considered, is the ultimate factor, if there is true love, and with God's love strong bond , the marriage will certainly be a success... :)

Whats the point of this thread?

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!
