Hi there,

I'm Alex. So I entered into the timeline system and it gave me the approximate date of adjudication. I have though a question of whether to count on seriously on that date or maybe there can be a delay?! Thank you. Good luck to Y'ALL!!!

It's just an estimate, I wouldn't reply heart and soul on it.

It gives me hope as I'm sure it does others but I wouldn't count on it. You could get your petition well before that date or well after.

It's a guessing game.

Stay strong and best of luck!!! :)

RFE's can add time, sometimes it's just the luck of the draw. This date is really a wild a$$ guess at this point. That's one of the things to get used to in this process, it's really out of our hands at this point. Some people get much quicker approval, some, much later. This date is really only based on what has happened in the past, so it may not reflect current processing speeds that accurately.

And So It Begins......

My Timeline:

15 Sep 2007 Engaged!

25 Jan 2008 Sent I-129F to CSC

28 Jan 2008 I-129F receipted at CSC

29 Jan 2008 NOA1

30 Jan 2008 Touched - filing box here we come....

05 Feb 2008 Hard Copy NOA1 Received in Mail

03 Jun 2008 NOA2

10 Sep 2008 Interview 9:30

16 Jan 2009 Fly back to the USA

I've noticed on mine that the date is pulled in every time I look at it. How accurate could it really be?

Don't make any plans according to the estimated date. I have seen my change going back and fourth almost every day. It is really there just to give you a general idea and to help you compare with others who are registered on this website. The date is useful in trying to determine whether the Service Center is slow in processing or moving quickly.

For example my case. My date is June 1, 2008. That is the estimated date of my petition being approved or in other words around that time I should receive my NOA 2. That does not mean I WILL recieve my NOA 2 then but it does tell me that the California Service Center is moving very slowly. I can probably expect 180 days waiting time since receiving my NOA 1 due to the slow processing times. That is 58 more days than the average.

Will I get lucky and receive the NOA 2 sooner? That is something all of us here on Visa Journey are praying for.

In summary, sit tight, relax, and enjoy the ride. Make yourself at home here at Visa Journey and be assured that things will come in due time.

The date moves. Mine started to be mid May and moved to late June and now is back to late May. It is based on activity for approvals. The holidays at year end did some bad things to the lines as did the July crush. What I can tell you is that from the end of november to know I have made it to more than 1/2 way up the list of people waiting for approval from the same service center. I think watching that your movement up the list gives you a good idea of how things are doing.
