Hello guys! I've been out for a week since our computer broke down last Monday. Anyway, just a quick note to let you know our AOS was approved last May 29. So, my GC is on its way! :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance: Congrats to all approvals this week. I don't have enough time to read all the pages but I will sure be back when we'll have the pc running again or a little later.

hey everyone

my EAD card finally came in the mail today...I was going to go get my SSN tomorrow...what all do I have to bring to get it ??? And where do I fnd out where I need to go?

I brought with me my passport, I-94,I-485 NOA, birth certificate, EAD, and marriage license. Remember to bring only original documents.. as for location.. I guess you need to check on SS website where is the closest office. what about your husband? as for me my husband took me first time to get my first SS card. Good lusk :thumbs:

Giuys I think I got touches because I applied for new SS card (with married name). So I think touches I got 2 weeks ago mean that SS Office requested my status from USCIS .... :huh: What do you think... :rolleyes: May be I am wrong, but i had new touches only when I applied for new SS card and nothing happened new from that moment...

I got the same touches as you. We applied for the SS card on the 12th of May and had it in hand on the 17th. The card was mailed out before the touches occurred. I have about 5 people in my friend's list that got the same touches. Plus my wife's sister sent their AOS out in January and got the same two touches. She hasn't even applied for a SS number yet. What I think is that it is the FBI background check being completed prior to the touches. Her sister got an RFE from those two touches.

I think our touches mean FBI check, and probably as soon as they will receive reply we will get approvals... may be I am wrong... there are so many ideas in my head... especially when my husband (US citizen) always asks me why we didn't get green card yet... hehehe... like I know :blush: let's see :)

Same here... i found a job...but it is not what i wanted, but anyway I need to do something, but same time will look for something better, or hopefully i will be promoted here.... anyway.. good luck :thumbs:

Elmira, I think the FBI checks are back. What it looks like is that they came back and now the USICS prepared our papers for approval. My wife's sister sent her papers in January and she got the same two touches 5/16, 5/18 as us but hers resulted in and RFE for medical. We'll see what happens!!!

Same here... i found a job...but it is not what i wanted, but anyway I need to do something, but same time will look for something better, or hopefully i will be promoted here.... anyway.. good luck :thumbs:

and anyway ... as soon as I have green card I will apply for Army contract job as I am military interpreter,but without green card they can't hire me.. but for now I have a job :) not big salary though... $26,000 per year... but it is something... :)

Yeah.. let's see :) when she received RFE? so hopefully if we didn't receive anything from them yet so out touches have good sign :) Thanks God I had some extra Medical ... just in case, as I saw so many RFE due to medical :blush:
