hi everyone, my fiance and i filed for our K-1 last march and the uscis received our docs 03/02/09 still dont know if they touched it or something, anyway was also wondering about the expedite process. my fiance's stationed in Okinawa Japan, and wont deploy the only place he'll go to is Laos on june and he'll be there 'til july 28th.

Would we be able to apply to have our case expedited even though he wont deploy? any ideas would be very helpful thanks! :)

It kind of sucks, my husband is overseas in Kuwait at the moment, but we haven't requested for an expedite merely because...he's already over there. >_>

We'll call the line in July when he's here visiting for leave, maybe we'll get lucky. :3

Hi

Give your husband the uscis military helpline phone number (1-877-247-4645) and have him try to call and request for an expedite.

It's worth a try!

Good luck!!

I'm Derrel 12yr Navy Vet and am looking to marry my fiancee who lives in Spain. I am facing an OCT09-JUN2010 deployment with my ship and will be out to sea on short 2-4week detatchments in June July Aug and Sep. and would like to marry prior to my departure. Would it be unwise to marry on her tourist visa and then begin the follow up paper work since i'll be gone anyway. I truly don't know where to begin with this.

No that's what I would recommend even though it's illegal for her to enter the country with the intent to get married while she's here. She automatically gets the 90 day visa when she enters, and you can start the paperwork as soon as you guys get married.

Do you alreadu have your orders?

Thanks for your service!
