Okay sometimes my husband talks in his sleep, but he gets kind of aggressive and its a little scary. This doesn't happen a lot, but when it happens he has some choice words for me and I know he's sleeping but it is still really kind of creepy.

When he awakes he remembers nothing.

Is this normal? I don't think it is.

I don't know if I should ask him to see a sleep specialist. There are times when I am just scared and I know its not his fault and its even harder because he remembers nothing of the event when he wakes up.

I talk during my sleep (I've been told) but I never remember. I think it's normal.

I think it's pretty normal for him not to remember things he does/says while he's asleep, no one does. But I sense you are more worried about the things he says and the way he says it rather than the talking itself...about that I think you should have a talk with him about it and find out if there is something he isn't telling you about the way he feels or something, that he might be unconsciuosly venting while he's asleep. Then again it might just be him dreaming and absolutely nothing else, but I am NO expert so what I say might be nonsense anyway.:P

In the mornings I usually do talk to him about it and he gets really sad and upset, it doesn't happen very often.

Its not like saying mean things like that. He's just being a hmm...horny pig. Which he is not...and has never been. Or maybe he IS. Who knows.

Now that I am typing this, I can see how it would sound kind of funny, but when it happens its not...because its so unlike him.

My son does this as does my future step daughter. They walk, talk, and even do things around the house whilst sleeping. None can remember any events the next day. Some folks just take dreaming to a more active level. It is normal!

Yea he's not on any medicines...otherwise I'd tell him to stop taking them.

I have heard of ambien really messing people up. :(

This is the Ambien CR, slow release pills. They knock you out and THEN slowly release more drug into you as you sleep, to keep you asleep. It is these ones that are having really bad side effects.

Just chiming in to say that it's normal...weird, but normal! My sister's a great sleep-talker/shouter/walker/runner/kicker - it was a little dangerous sharing a room with her growing up :P
