Hi everyone!

I have a question about Affidavit of support that I will need for my fiance.

We applied for K1 visa and as you may all know at the interview the beneficiary needs a sponsor.

Im 18 years old and I just finished High School. I used to work during the summer only so I don't make enough to support my fiance.

We have a good family friend that is able to support my fiance, but I don`t know how to do this. Does my friend need to fill out I-134 and thats it or what is there to do ? I'm so confused. PLEASE HELP! :help:

September 18,2007 ---> Sent I-129F to California Service Center

September 20 ---> USCIS sent out a recepit(NOA1)

I never received the envelop with NOA1..( I think it got lost)

September 24 ---> Check Cashed

September 25 ---> TOUCHED

December 4 ---> I called USCIS and they gave me the receipt number...

FEBRUARY 7, 2008 WE WERE APPROVED!!!!! 142 days from filling date.

February 22, 2008 NVC RECEIVED OUR PETITION. YEY

February 26, 2008 Was sent out to the embassy. OMG!!!

February 28,2008 PETITION DELIVERED IN BUCHAREST AT THE EMBASSY.

February 29,2008 Police Certificate

March 6 Received packet 3

March 20 Interview

MARCH 20 VISA IN HAND

April 5,2008 US ENTRY

April 21,2008 Applied for SSN

April 29,2008 SSN CARD RECEIVED IN THE MAIL

MAY 24 2008 WEDDING DAY !!!!!

June 11,2008 SENT THE PAPERS FOR AOS!

June 17 2008 NOA 1

July 10 2008 BIOMETRICS APPOINTMENT

September 17 AOS Papers transferred to CALIFORNIA.

October 13 EAD APROVAL.

October 20 2008 Received EAD CARD in Mail. YEY

JANUARY 15, 2009 AOS APPROVAL!

NOVEMBER 2010 REMOVING CONDITIONS.

11/08/2010 sent packet to California

11/20/2010 NOA1

01/31/2011 Biometric Appointment

03/11/2011 RFE

05/11/2011 APPROVED.

05/16/2011 RECEIVED GREEN CARD IN THE MAIL. :)

As the primary sponsor you need to fill out an I-134 as well as the cosponsor. Your cosponsor would also need to provide supporting documentation to prove that they are above the poverty guidelines.

I believe they will also need a G-325a (biographical sheet).

22 Jun 05 - We met in a tiny bar in Williamsburg, Va. (spent all summer together)

27 May 06 - Sasha comes back for a 2nd glorious summer (spent 8 months apart)

01 Jan 07 - Jason travels to Moscow for 2 weeks with Sasha

27 May 07 - Jason again travels to Moscow for 2 weeks of perfection

14 July 07 - I-129F and all related documents sent to VSC

16 July 07 - I-129F delivered to VSC and signed for by P. Novak

20 July 07 - NOA1 issued / receipt number assigned

27 Sep 07 - Jason travels to Moscow to be with Sasha for 2 weeks

28 Nov 07 - NOA2 issued...TOUCHED!...then...APPROVED!!!

01 Dec 07 - NVC receives/assigns case #

04 Dec 07 - NVC sends case to U.S. Embassy Moscow

26 Dec 07 - Jason visits Sasha in Russia for the 4th and final time of 2007 :)

22 Feb 08 - Moscow Interview! (APPROVED!!!)..Yay!

24 Mar 08 - Sasha and Jason reunite in the U.S. :)

31 May 08 - Married

29 Dec 08- Alexander is born

11 Jan 10 - AOS / AP / EAD package sent

19 Jan 10 - AOS NOA1 / AP NOA1 / EAD NOA1

08 Feb 10 - AOS case transferred to CSC

16 Mar 10 - AP received

16 Mar 10 - AOS approved

19 Mar 10 - EAD received

22 Mar 10 - GC received

From my co-sponsor I need to have form W-22

a letter from his work stating how much he makes a year

plus I-134 filled out by him.

Anything else?

Also which annual income should we use? The one from 2005 or 2006?

W2 and tax return or just a tax transcript from the IRS. If you could also include some pay stubs that would be good.

I would definitely use 2006 income since they are most concerned with current income.

And you have to make sure your friend (the co-sponsor) makes enough to be considered able to support your fiance as well (I think this is only 125% of the poverty line, so most likely he does). If he doesn't though he can also include proof of any of his assets.

Also keep in mind you guys have to have the 134 forms notarized. And YOU have to do the affidavit of support as well, even though you don't work, so you'll need your old tax info too.

January 18th, 2008 - I-129F sent to VSC

January 31st, 2008 - received NOA1, issued Jan. 24 :)

February 24th, 2008 - NOA2; omgwtfbbqlolz

February 29th, 2008 - NVC letter sent
