I'm sorry, I don't remember anymore....who is this Immigration Officer assigned to USCIS that is recommending the use of the RFE line? Perhaps he/she would like to log onto VJ, and post this information w/ an employee ID# attached to it....since its completely recommended by USCIS and all, we can have it "straight from the horse's mouth" so to speak.

Paula, you're welcome to (shudder) call the RFE line (gasp) to obtain the badge number of Officer Martinez, who was on duty on Wednesday, 24 October 2007. USCIS is so good at releasing information that they should be happy to supply that for you, si man.

You are advocating the use of this method and basing its legitimacy on Officer Martinez, while you're dismissing objections as being purely a matter of opinion because it is not coming from USCIS 'directly'

So don't give me a tongue-n-cheek comment, that I can find out myself....you put it out there, "go ahead and call, in fact I was told by Officer Martinez that it's OK to call, so abuse(er...use) the RFE line to your heart's content. And when questioned, all you can come up with is call and find out yourself?!

I think you should verify with Officer Martinez....if its truly OK for every Tom ####### and Harry who's a antsy about their case to call the CSC's 'people on the floor' and shake their NOA2 loose.

Yeah the flaming is not really in good spirit of what these boards are all about. I'll refrain from anymore myself.

As far as this thread being closed I get the impression that RJ was and is trying to fan the flames in this post to get the mods to close it. I've seen this tactic used before on other forums. She don't agree with the advice and the easiest way to get her way is to have this post removed because of all the flaming.

There were a couple such, referred to in a post several pages back...

It would be nice indeed if people would return to posting their experiences, like Diana says -- both positive and otherwise. If it results that certain of RJ's suppositions are correct, then the method will die a natural death, thus achieving what appears to be her goal. An honest account of people's experiences is what this thread was intended for.

Rebeccajo's goal is not as you seem to be understanding. Her concern is coming from a broader perspective that it has been stated that these lines are not to be abused by people attempting to get information by going through a channel not intended for such. I do think the issue some have here with your supposed method is that you are outright encouraging people to call without care as to the result of the encouragement. I do think its reckless as is your promotion of this "shaking your petition loose".

TBone.........my grandmother used to tell me u can make some of the people happy some of the time but not all the people all of the time...yup old school......and kind of corny but it seems its always the truth........

Just joken i wouldnt but some of us as in ME feel that the information that u have shared with us gives us a choice........i like choices.......will i call again u bet.........cant say they were as nice the 2nd time as they were the first......but until someone has a better solution than just waiting.....its all we have to work with........we filed in aug.......we are still sitting here........and thanks God for this place to come to MOST of the time have people to talk to that are going thru the same thing we are......to help get us thru the ruff times and to celebrate the good times with........anyways im starting to sound like im standing on a soap box so i will end it here but a big THANK YOU from me to You is pretty much what I wanted to say

That's very interesting and indeed ironic. My K-1 began life at TSC and lost a week-plus there when I could have sent it straight to California.
