My comments have nothing to do with speed. I refer to accuracy and handling their job professionally.

I don't understand how you can *know* they are being either incompetent or efficient. So many factors go into the process, and the case workers are just one part of it.

I've seen enough on these boards to know as well as experiencing it personally. I see this process alot like war. My petition is like a battleplan and USCIS is the enemy. We all know the battle plan never survives contact with the enemy. Anything that can go wrong will.

I hate to tell you this - but it's not that PERSONAL to them. You're a stack of papers. Get your papers right, meet about three criteria, and you'll get your NOA2.

Sorry, shouldn't have said that. I just got angry about the getting the papers right comment. I first put a petition together in September and sent it in, the conclusion was it was misplaced (i had a personal check and tracking on the package) by USCIS. After getting a john doe letter from CSC in January (I had put a service request in) I sent another petition in mid January only to get it back with an NOA rejection from Chicago Lock Box. Someone randomly decided it was an I130 and sent it to Chicago Lockbox. Chicago took a look at it and instead of reforwarding back to CSC they decided to just issue an NOA and send it all back to me mid February.

Realizing I was out of options I hired an attorney that my congressman recommended. They have sent a third petition friday or monday one week ago for the direct attention of a supervisor trying to get a supervisor to recognise the mistakes and file it as september petition (meaning it should go imediately to an officer's desk.)

My attorney even commented on the quality of the file and they basically used everything except the 129f form which they redid to add their representative info.

It doesn't matter how well things are put together, sometimes you just get royally screwed.

I hope your attorney is aware that there is a legitimate expedite process for cases that can be proven to be mucked up due to USCIS error.

Sorry things got off subject, my point was that i've had two mistakes, and there are roughly 4-5 people with similar troubles on this site in the last 3 months. These mistakes might not seem like much here on the site (thats what 4,5 people among about 300 filers from sept. to Feb. ) thats maybe 3 to 4% (2 mistakes per person...which it seems they always strike in pairs) but thats still rather high especially as it seems that CSC isn't doing much to right the mistakes.

Now that LAST bit is completely not the average employee's mistake, its higher up.

I didn't bother. All I wanted to know was if you could really reach a live officer. It was apparent from the evidence that you do.

I didn't think it was right for me to tie up the RFE line to check on an address change.

oh yes, i accidentally wrote 'trick' instead of 'tip' i couldnt correct it when i saw it...hehe thanks

when i found out about the RFEs trick 2 months ago i was amazed haha..seriously! because prior to that it would take soooo long for me to talk to a live person, but of course, as we all know, they only tell me what i already know...

but yes, i hope things get going after when the officer receives the email from the lady i spoke with.

(Apologies for encroaching on Mox) To the immigration people, "expedite" is for Cuban applications, emergency asylum applications, military applications, and (only for the very few) TRULY emergent personal circumstances (life-or-death matters, if even those!). Mox may have a more complete explanation.

No, your just going to be told that its not with an officer yet. CSC doesn't care how far ahead VSC has gotten.

Do you have an RFE?

The officers are there to assist those with a question about an RFE.
