Visa, finally in my hands 14 days later!

In my hands right now (not literally because Im typing..LOL) is my husbands Passport/Visa from Montreal..exactly 2 weeks after the interview.. so happy to finally have it and to be able to finalize our moving plans for April 15th!..woo hoo!

I still hate Canada Post... 1. tracking still says its in Montreal.. (I know, dont ever rely on their tracking system)..2. I paid for the "siganture required" stamp to put on the envelope, and also wrote "SIGNATURE REQUIRED" under my husbands name on the send to part.. we have a channel on our TV where we can watch the lobby and mailroom in our complex and I watched the Canada Post truck pull up, hand my phone in my hand so I could answer the buzzer, watched her open the mailroom go in, and then come out about 5 minutes later..and drive away.. I went down to check and sure enough there was the XpressPost envelope folded like a frickin pretzel, rammed into the mailbox!.. I want my $1.80 back that I paid for the sticker!..LOL

medical envelope seems fine..put a book on top of the passport because it was a bit bent....its here, were so happy! calling U-Pack today!

23/01/2008: New Medical done, WHERE THE @#$%! IS IT, DID THE MAILMAN LOSE IT?! (It arrived 30 min after I left for MTL, 1 week overdue. KISS MY LEFT FOOT, AFTER IT'S BEEN WEDGED UP YOUR HINEY AND LOST IT'S STILETTO, CANADA POST!)

14/02/2008: VISA IN HAND!!

18/05/2008: POE - Harassed by ignorant and incompetent Customs Official who grilled me until I answered that the reason why I broke up w/ my Ex was not to date my USC but b/c he was "impotent from a porn addiction". He also insulted my husband's motives for talking to me, dismissed our 2 years together as "not enough to get married", and otherwise trotted out the Spanish Inquisition.

22/05/2008: Ceremony of cohabitation (Legally allowed to get bizz-ay!)

Firstly, congrats on finally getting DH's visa. :thumbs: Secondly, I had the exact same reaction as you did. "I paid how much for this #######?" Where I live they have the superbox, but it sounds like your letter carrier took 'do not bend, fold or mutilate' as a personal challenge. Why the HELL can't USCIS pay for the damn thing themselves or send it to the closest consulate or allow us to use registered mail. I just got the FOIA packet (that I requested on July 12, 2006, wow it's early :angry: ) that was supposed to be sent by Registered Mail, and surprise, surprise it was crammed in the regular mail compartment of the superbox. :angry: Kimmbo, all that matters it that you got it. Have fun moving and try to take it easy!!!!! :thumbs::lol:
