Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Holy Diver, here. :D

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Certified PADI diver here.

Where have you gone diving? Please share your experiences.

I am a certified search and recovery diver, but my locations are quite limited.

I've gone to Panama City, FL many times to dive their wrecks. Also, the springs north of Panama City are great. I love caves. I have been to 112 in a cave several times, which was fun.

My favorite dives so far have been off of the coast here in Louisiana. Not many people come here to dive, but it's like nowhere else. The biodiversity is amazing. You can belly up at the bottom and stare up through oil rigs, with coral and fish everywhere.

I still have yet to greet a shark, which is one thing I really want to do. An 8 foot lemon would be nice. I have seen several schools of huge baracudas, though. I came up for a safety stop one time to find about a 5 foot barracuda hanging out with me. I told our novice divers to hang tight and swam with the cuda. That was really cool. Oh, and porpoises are fun, too.

Last year I made a trip to Key West and was quite disappointed. The reef was shallow and my dive buddy was an idiot. I want to go again with friends and our own boat so that we can see better, deeper reefs.

By the way, I have basic openwater certs with NAUI and PDIC, but my advanced and search & recovery are both PDIC certs.

I want to get my master diver cert this summer.

I haven't been in 5 years. I was certified in Idaho at Red Fish lake. At the time I used to visit a former boyfriend in California and go with him off the coast. The last time I dove was with him off Catalina Island in Cali and we bumped into a Great White. I was so new at diving and so shaken after that I don't have the courage to go back in since then.

I said I would like to face a shark, but I would not want to come across a hammerhead or great white. I guess I'm always diving near bull sharks, who supposedly have the highest testosterone level of any species.

One of the guys in my dive group was attacked by a sea turtle one time. The turtle destroyed his dry suit.

On my very first open water trip, I came face to face with a 600 pound goliath grouper. It was cool. She was very calm and wanted to check me out. Then my dive buddy scared her off. Looking at it underwater with lensing effects made it look like a cheshire fish.

I have observed that the aquatic life is as interested in observing us as we are them. I wasn't ready for the great white. Supposedly it wasn't even supposed to be there. My former boss went diving off of Guam in Jan. 06' and she talked about some ship wreck they saw. I've considered diving in the Red Sea off the coast of Egypt when I go back next time. The water is surprisingly warm there and there are loads of dive shops/trips/boats. I don't know about the equipment though. Do you have all your own or rent?

I own all of my gear.

I want to dive the Red Sea. The coast of Egypt is supposed to be some of the best in the world without question. I want to buy a big boat to take on trips around the world.

That would be awesome! My Instructor also told me that the Red Sea is the most dangerous in the world to dive. When I was there we went to an Aquarium and saw some of the aquatic life we would encounter in the Red Sea. It's a good thing too because I don't think I would recognize a Stone Fish before that. They are poisonous to touch and can be aggressive.

I've got over 70 openwater dives in my logbook, but the most recent dive is about 20 years ago. I used to live near West Palm Beach, FL, and went diving nearby a lot. I quit diving when I moved away from Florida.

Speaking of unusual sea life encounters, on my very first openwater checkout dive, a loggerhead turtle ran into me at full speed, knocking my regulator out of my mouth and disorienting me quite a bit. My instructor happened to be near me, and she shoved my regulator back into my mouth before I figured out what had happened to me. I had been looking at coral, and the tunnel vision that comes with the mask made me unaware of the turtle until it hit me. After I came to the surface, the other divers explained that the turtle and a shark had been under a reef, and someone had scared them, and the turtle was trying to escape. Loggerheads underwater are fast, but not the most agile creatures in the sea. The bottom of the turtle's shell hit my forehead, and I had a nasty bump for a week or two.

I am a PADI Advanced open water diver and have only been diving in Autralia and Thailand so far - various spots at the Great Barrier Reef (Cairns, Port Douglas, Whitsunday Islands, Magnetic Island...I lived on a diving boat for a few weeks near Cairns and did my certificates there) and Koh Samui, Koh Tao and Koh Phangan in Thailand.

My childhood dream is to scuba dive with Great White Sharks and I am sure I will be able to do that some day (with or without a cage). In Australia I have seen all kinds of amazing fish under water - giant turtles, black tip reef sharks, morays, humpback whales, dolphins and on and on...

I always dreamt of being a marine biologist but then somehow ended up in Investment Banking...
