We wanted to share our joy: today I received my EAD in the mail....

Thank Lord! And tomorrow is my interview for that job I was talking about....

Congrats americanenglish! My EAD arrived today too... Very exciting, except the photo they took is absolutely horrendous and makes me look like a ghost. Seriously, my face is almost indistinguishable from the white of the card. When I asked my husband to please tell me I never look like that he merely said I rarely look like that. :wacko:

Oh well, this card will soon go in some drawer anyway.

That's great you guys! I got mine too, on Saturday, and yes the photo is terrible!! Oh well. Now it is time to tackle the maze of Social Security and trying to open a bank account, get a driver's license, etc. Ugh. But I am finally a "real person"!! It feels good:)

Nov 30 2007 - I enter US as a tourist to spend the ski season with my sweetie and figure out what we both want outta life - we plan on ending up in Canada, but...

Jan 30 2008 - We get married in Vegas! We decide to stay in the US.

Feb 08 2008 - File I-130, I-485, AP and EAD

Feb 11 2008 - Package arrives in Chicago

Feb 19 2008 - Receive NOA 1 for everything except I-485. NOA date Feb 15th

Feb 19 2008 - Touch I-130, AP, EAD

Feb 21 2008 - Receive I-485 NOA 1. NOA Date Feb 15th

Feb 22 2008 - Receive Biometrics notice, dated Feb 20th, for appointment March 11th

Feb 27 2008 - Walk in to Denver field office and have Biometrics taken early as the 11th March I'll be away

Apr 16 2008 - EAD card production ordered

Apr 16 2008 - AP approval sent

Apr 21 2008 - AP received in mail

Apr 21 2008 - EAD card production email received again - strange

Apr 24 2008 - EAD card approval notice sent email

Apr 26 2008 - EAD card received

May 03 2008 - Interview notice received -June 27th

May 22 2008 - Touch on I-485

June 09 2008 - I-130 finally shows up online and shows a touch that day, so does I-485

Jun 27 2008 - Interview - approved, stamped, received card production email. Ya-hoo!!!!

July 10 2008 - Card received

Total time from filing - approval: 4.5 months

MOVED TO SAN DIEGO!!

Lifting of Conditions

June 11 2010 - Package mailed

June 16 2010 - NOA date

July 2 2010 - Bio letter received - July 27th date

July 9 2010 - Early biometrics walk in San Marcos CA

Sept 16 2010 - Card production ordered

Has anyone received a *touch* since their case was transferred to CSC ? Am beginning to wonder that cases transferred to CSC will likely be delayed(just a hunch) :whistle:

After being transfered we received 1 touch but nothing since.

1 touch the day after it was rec'd at CSC, nothing since. No touches on my EAD either.

K-1 journey, AOS/EAD and ROC in my timeline

2011 March 31 - Sent off Naturalization pkg overnight to Texas

2011 April 1 - Arrived in Texas at 10:21 am

2011 April 1 - NOA (rec'd via snail mail April 8)

2011 April 7 - Cheque cashed

2011 May 5 - Biometrics (letter rec'd via snail mail April 15)

2011 May 9 - Placed in line for interview scheduling

2011 June 13 - Rec'd yellow letter (no change in status online)

2011 June 23 - Rec'd text that my case has been scheduled for interview

2011 August 1 - Interview (rec'd via snail mail June 27) PASSED

2011 August 3 - Rec'd email that my case has been scheduled for Oath

2011 September 1 - Oath ceremony (rec'd snail mail Aug 5)

2011 September 1 - All done, yeah.

April 07, 2010 - packet delivered and signed

April 12, 2010 - check was cashed

April 13, 2010 - received NOA1 (dated 04/08/10)

May 07, 2010 - Biometrics

May 10, 2010 - Touched

June 23, 2010 - APPROVED WITHOUT INTERVIEW!!!

  • AP touched and approved April 14, 2008
  • AP touched April 15, 2008
  • I-765 touched and EAD card production ordered (why again????)April 16, 2008

We've had no touches on our I-485 either since they resumed processing after receiving our RFE and that was Mar 21.

No touches on EAD and AP until they were approved.

hey guys..

Ok..long story short..I went for an infopass today because my oldest daughter is having problems with her pregnancy in toronto.

I couldn't get a hold of her doctor(hes delivering a baby)

So..I went without ANY supporting evidence as to needing my AP(and my youngest daughter's) expeditied.

Heres what happened

I talked to the guy at the window who basicly said **you have no supporting evidence..I can't help you**

so I very politely burst into tears :crying: and told him I didn't know I needed anything..that the woman at the 800 number told me to go there(which she did) and she didn't say anything about getting letters or anything(which is all true)

ANYWAY..i starteded to walk away..clearly very upset..and he called me back..told me an officer would be out to talk to me. Well..he was confused by what I needed..he sent an adoption officer out..She discovered very quickly she was not who I needed..she put me back with the original guy.

This time the original guy(feeling very sorry for me at this point(I'm assuming..lol) took my papers from me..typed away for a bit and then told me that he had just sent an expedition request to the missouri office...and told me someone will call me today or tomorrow.

so..this all sounds very promising..but I assume whoever receives the e-mail in Missouri will make the decision there? or do you think the decision was made by the guy who sent the request?

I'm so confused!

Oh Shawna I'm so sorry about the issues with your daughter's pregnancy and I can imagine that it must feel awful to be stuck here in the USA-- so close, but unable to go. I have no answer to your question but I very much hope you hear something from USCIS soon and even more that everything will go ok for your daughter. Best of luck to all of you.

hey guys..

Ok..long story short..I went for an infopass today because my oldest daughter is having problems with her pregnancy in toronto.

I couldn't get a hold of her doctor(hes delivering a baby)

So..I went without ANY supporting evidence as to needing my AP(and my youngest daughter's) expeditied.

Heres what happened

I talked to the guy at the window who basicly said **you have no supporting evidence..I can't help you**

so I very politely burst into tears :crying: and told him I didn't know I needed anything..that the woman at the 800 number told me to go there(which she did) and she didn't say anything about getting letters or anything(which is all true)

ANYWAY..i starteded to walk away..clearly very upset..and he called me back..told me an officer would be out to talk to me. Well..he was confused by what I needed..he sent an adoption officer out..She discovered very quickly she was not who I needed..she put me back with the original guy.

This time the original guy(feeling very sorry for me at this point(I'm assuming..lol) took my papers from me..typed away for a bit and then told me that he had just sent an expedition request to the missouri office...and told me someone will call me today or tomorrow.

so..this all sounds very promising..but I assume whoever receives the e-mail in Missouri will make the decision there? or do you think the decision was made by the guy who sent the request?

I'm so confused!

Oh Shawna I'm so sorry about the issues with your daughter's pregnancy and I can imagine that it must feel awful to be stuck here in the USA-- so close, but unable to go. I have no answer to your question but I very much hope you hear something from USCIS soon and even more that everything will go ok for your daughter. Best of luck to all of you.

Thank you so much..it is SO frustrating to not beable to just go to her because she needs me :( The worst part is..I originally sent my I-485 packet end of January..and they rejected it stating wrong payment(the payment was correct..and when they sent it back my attorney just resent it again..and then it went through) Had they accepted it the first time...I would already have my AP.. oh well..I just have to hope that they expedite...but thank you again..that was very sweet.

Ok, progress finally! Not exactly the timing or order I expected but progress nonetheless.

I-797C NOA - Interview scheduled - 6.12.08 in Chicago.

Sent on 4.24.08, received 4.29.08 (no touches, no CRIS emails??)

Here's some stats on the processing so far:

Number of days:

Appplication to Interview notice - 64

Application to Interview date - 113 (slightly above average)

Bio to Interview notice - 40

Bio to Interview date - 89 (slightly below average)

Hope that helps to give others a little more detail into our timeline.
