That's actually really funny... but I would NEVER do something like that!

I have mixed feelings - is it brave or just insane...

PB - Dear God you would never find me like that either!!!!

D & Jenn - yes, it's insane, but it's also alcohol induced insanity. And I can almost guarantee these are TOURISTS, not locals, b/c locals have much better taste than that. People usually show their stupidity most when they are far from home! This is also a huge reason of why I steer clear of parades for the most part... it's crowds of drunk, stupid people!

Totally agree with you Noura!!! Remains me of the Girls Gone Wild series advertised on late night TV...crazy wacky people...

Have a great time in NO - I still am waiting for my opportunity to visit. There are some die hard fans of NO at my job, most of them jazz and Creole cuisine funs who always go back and just never get tired...

I know, my day will come one day...

A few of the higher ups here had a Peoplesoft convention during mardis gras in NO a few years back. Whenever I ask about it they just smile and look at each other.

on a side note, Jackie - I saw a bumper sticker the other day that said, "whatever happens at grandma's stays at grandma's" :luv: I thought of you!

Too funny, I think my mom went to that. Something about Earth, Wind & Fire and paper cups.

I'm looking at this camel's teeth, and wondering... what do they eat? I thought they were herbivores, but they also have some wicked sharp looking teeth

I swear this looks like the possessed camel I rode at the pyramids

I cant wait to watch THE MOMENT OF TRUTH tonight, has anybody else seen it? Can you imagine if they made a home version for us to play at home  LOL

I'm looking forward too. I hope Wadi will be home for it because I know he'll enjoy it a lot.

The only thing I was disappointed with was how they were asked the questions hooked up to the polygraph *before* the show, so they knew which questions they could possibly be asked. Takes a bit of the fun out of it, I think. But it's fun to watch regardless!

I know! I thought they were going to be asked right on the spot w/o even knowing what they were going to be asked but it was very good and entertaining. I am sure there will be alot of breakups due to their answers.

I am sooooooo sick of this winter! I fell down! Now normally, I would bounce back up, dust off the snow and go on. I fell next to my car and hit my dang elbow on the concrete. I have a purple-ish bump the size of a golf ball on my elbow. It hurts so bad, I can't lay down. It is 2am and I am sitting here almost in tears. It happened about 4 hours ago. Can't soak it, so what can one do about an elbow? Any nurses or mommy's around?

jJ

Jackie, you REALLY NEED to go have this looked at. I have a close friend that did the VERY SAME thing years ago. She slipped on ice and hit her elbow. She had a hairline fracture and didn't know it. She let it go without seeing a doctor for several weeks until the pain became beyond bareable. The muscles had become damaged somehow because of the fracture and she ended up having to have surgery and having the bone scraped and having to have all kinds of physical therapy for it and it has never been the same.

I would go get an xray NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck!

Okay, so that's 3 votes for getting an xray... please be careful and play it safe, your health and mobility are not something to gamble with... imagine trying to measure all those houses with chronic elbow pain :o Ouch!

Please pray for us peeps....

Yesterday morning, our two year old son was involved in an accident. I had just dropped him off at daycare and was talking with his teacher when another little boy slammed his finger in the door. It actually cut the tip of his finger off! It was the most horrifying situation I have ever been in. Thankfully, the school was very quick to call Medics who responded quickly and transported us to the emergency room. We had a great doctor yesterday who immediately called a hand specialist who instructed her to immediately reattach the tip of his finger. After they discharged us from emergency, we went directly to the hand specialist who is actually hopefully that because of our son's age and good health, he may have a good chance of the tip reattaching. We won’t know for at least another week if this will happen. So please keep my little munchkin in your prayers that he will have a complete healing of his finger. The specialist has but his whole hand and forearm in a sort of a cast to help protect his finger from bumps. We will go back to see him Tuesday morning for the specialist to redress the wound and to see if it has begun to reattach. My boy has been such a trooper through the whole thing. He was such a big little man yesterday and handled it much better than his mom did! I am to give him some high-powered antibiotics to lower his risk of infection which is what the doctors are most concerned about right now. He has been eating very well and the cast has not slowed him down ONE BIT!!!!
