Was curious how u filled out the I-134. Been reading so many posts in other forums and getting different answers! The example form is for a K1, and will be answered a little differently than K3. :help:

More specifically...

1. For #7, if u met the income requirements, did u still fill out the remaining questions after "annual income"? (ie savings, personal property, life insurance, real estate etc.) or leave them blank?

2. For #3 and #10...they should both be the same answer..our spouse, right?

3. What did u fill in for #11?

4. Did u fill every space? (ie N/A or "none" where applicable)

5. Did u send 2 copies of income evidence (it states "submit in duplicate" on the instructions)

Please fell free to PM me if you prefer.

Thanks so much (F) ..Dont know what i would do without VJ! Probably be the the psych ward by now!!!

God Bless (L)

1) my income excede 125%, so did not fill out any asset data for #7

2) YES same answer

3) #11 dont check anything and put "N/A ( K1 or K3 visa process for permanent residence )" on the lines

4) Yes None for answers that you could answer but you have NONE, N/A is for things that DO NOT APPLY

5) YES.

There is an example I-134 that you can use in the example forms page.

http://www.visajourney.com/examples/Form-I-134.pdf

One thing about I-134, the directions included with I-134 are very old, USCIS has no reason to update them since USCIS has no application for that form.

The consulates tend to treat the I-134 like a mini-I-864 as so prefer the same financial evidence as the I-864.

In our case this what the I-134 included.

  • I-134 signed and notarized.

  • SIMPLE Tax transcripts from the IRS for past 3 years, (Redundant for the (1040,W2,1099) but are free from the IRS http://www.irs.gov/faqs/faq1-6.html

  • Photo copy of IRS form 1040, and W2s for past 3 years (Not necessary if you provide the transcripts)

  • Letter from my employer stating annual salary, job responsibility, and that is full time, on company letterhead.

  • Photo copies of past month or so of pay stubs up to a few weeks before the interview.
My income was well above the povertyline so I did not include any asset data (LIKE BANK STATEMENTS or property values).

If your income exceeds 125% of the povertyline when counting yourself, prospective immigrant and any dependents, then don't bother with assets (401K, Bank balance, Stocks etc..), it is just extra un-needed data to provide, the consular officer is most concerned with INCOME.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

If you meet the requirements on income alone you can leave the rest blank.

2. For #3 and #10...they should both be the same answer..our spouse, right?

Yes

3. What did u fill in for #11?

N/A (K3 visa process for permanent residency)

4. Did u fill every space? (ie N/A or "none" where applicable)

Yes...do not leave any question blank.

5. Did u send 2 copies of income evidence (it states "submit in duplicate" on the instructions)
