Event Description

Embassy Review : Hello u all on here, its a great relief to be able to comfortably write on here with a smile on my face and in my heart. I sincerely apologise for not coming on here earlier to do this , i assume most of you will understand my hysteria.
I know what is most consuming in the mind of people on here is to know how it went with me at the consulate on my interview date, well i will ease your anxiety with its details;

April 17th 2008: Did not sleep through the night because i live on the outskirts of a bordering town between Lagos and Ogun states. I got to the embassy at 5.50 am as my interview time was for 7.00 am . Had to wait for another 25 minutes before we was called onto a queue. Got into the embassy premises at 7.40 am and took a seat. There are two (2) sections to the inside ; one is a waiting room and also a collection room while the second was the interview room. I was summoned to the second room where some documents were collected from me (passport, application forms, marriage certificate) and i was then asked to to wait back in the first room. There i sat tentatively for about 3 hours before i was called in for my interview. This took place at the 12th booth and went for about five minutes. But due to the consular officers fraternizing with her colleagues it took a total of about 12 minutes to get thru. The following are the questions she asked me;
1. Do i have any relations or anyone i know in the states?
2. When did me and my wife meet?
3. How did we meet?
4. What was the medical condition my wife had?
5. Who were some people in our pictures?

After all the questioning she typed a couple of things on her computer and printed out on a blue paper and told me "Congratulations do not make any life changing plans yet until you get your visa".
Those were the words i have always dreamt of since putting in for my visa, thank God i finally heard them.

I pray God guides and send favour to those of you that are in line to get thru this process, have faith and believe and surely you shall overcome this trying times.

Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
