Although I understand the reason for it I find it very amusing being asked for ID when I go to a bar after all I'm sure I look young for my age but I'm 50 years old and I don't think I really look under age.

My husband is amused that at Wegmans grocery store he can't buy beer unless he has his passport. And the policy is for everyone. I've seen them turn away people in their 70's if they don't have ID. What a crazy policy.

Did you manage to get to Wegman's when you were in the area, Krikit? The Wegman's that is close to my new house is FAB!! Twice the size of my "old" location and just lots and lots of yummy stuff.

Ok - I know we have had turning right on a red light but even weirder is that when the lights are green and you can turn right, the pedestrians have their little "walk" light on so you can't turn right anyway unless you want to kill someone!!!

No, I never got there! Is your new Wegmans like the one beside The Boulevard Mall? That one's my favourite. But it's out of my way if I'm just driving through, so maybe the one by you is closer to the thruway? I like the one on Peach St in Erie, too, but the traffic on that street is sooooooo heavy that I hate having to drive down there.

Mine is across from McKinely Mall and is easily accessible if you take the Blasdel exit off the I-90. Not sure of the exit #, but next time you're passing through you should definitely pop in. Its amazing!! I Wegman's!

Agree about the sweet tea, but I drink the unsweetened stuff by the gallon when I'm out there - luverly . Before I went out there I'd never had the stuff before, either. Now, I ask for it here as a matter of course when I go out to eat, and get looked at like I'm from Mars or something - just like 'er indoors used to do when she came here and asked for it!! If I'm "lucky" the establishment concerned may have some of that pre-bottled Liptons stuff, but ya just can't beat a nice big pitcher of the stuff.

Ahhh.. it's all up northeast... no wonder - completely the opposite side of the country to me So why is it so great?

Our local store is Stater Bros - not such a nice website but they sell Yogi Tea which is great and they have nutella, Thai curry pastes, Pataks, Carrs cheese melts...
