good morning everyone

I have a question if anyone knows ,am just curiouse I noticed some had a transfer to CSC then got send back to local office for interview ,my question is I live in mass on the local office serch it gives me boston , but they gave me hartford CT for the biometrics ( wich i went too ) now if it would come down to it and they would send my file back for interview would my local office be Hartford ( where i had my biometrics ) or Boston ?? ( I belive it would be hartford , but any replies will be apriciated

12 March 2010 received approval letter in mail

04/25/17 credit card charged 

04/25/17 e mail NOA send 

05/01/17 hard copy of NOA dated 04/25 received in mail

05/06/17 biometric hard copy in mail 

05/19/17 Biometric appointment in Hartford CT 

07/17/17 Inline for Interview 

07/24/17 Interview letter in mail 

08/24/17 Interview in Springfield MA ... Yes Aproved

09/14/17 Oath Ceremony .... done I am a US citizen

09/22/17 Applied for Passport ( per reg mail )

I think they will try to schedule it with the office closest to where you live. Is one closer than the other?

yup hartford where I already had my biometrics is only 40 min drive ,

boston is 2, 1/2 hours

Often the biometrics are done at a different (satellite) office than where the interviews are held. (Ours was in a strip-mall office.) :thumbs:

am hoping for no interview but if it gets send back I hope it will be hartford ( its a small office ) where I had my biometrics , not Boston ( blahhhh almost 3 hour drive )

Hartford is likely one of USCIS' application support centers (ASC) - to my knowledge, they do not conduct interviews at ASCs so you'd probably be in Boston (if it goes back to the local office).

This is totally OT, but if you live in Mass and are closer to Hartford than Boston, you're somewhere in western Mass, no? Where, if I may ask? I went to college in S. Hadley. ;)

I looked and yes hartford is a ACS office , well am just hoping they will keep the file at CSC but thank you everyone

as to the question where in MA , yes am close to springfield I know where S hadley is , very nice town , :)
