I got interview letter for 5th febr 2008.

They are saying there i have to complete a full medical examination(for I-693 a) and suplement vaccination(if not already submited, but i did).I got my medical completed in may 2007 required for k1 visa.I thought the medical is available 1 year.What i have to do now? Go for a full medical examination with a civil surgeon or only transcribe medical vaccination(DS-3025)on I-693 a? I submited only DS-325 with AOS.

Any sugestions? Thank you.

AOS / EAD timeline

10 sept 2007- I-485, I-765 sent to Chicago

21 sept 2007- NOA1 for AOS, EAD

26 sept 2007 - biometrics appointment letter received

16 oct 2007- RFE birth certificate(missing original copy)

23 oct 2007- biometrics done

20 nov 2007- EAD card production ordered

29 nov 2007- EAD approval notice sent

01 dec 2007 - EAD arrived in the mail

03 dec 2007-apply for SSN

10 dec 2007- got SSN in the mail

20 dec 2007 - got a job

22 dec 2007 - got driver licence

24 dec 2007 - received interview letter for AOS

5 febr 2008 - AOS interview APPROVED

6 febr 2008 - card production ordered

15 febr 2008- card received

11 Nov 2009 - Removing Conditions I-751 sent

17 Dec 2009 - Biometrics Appointment

08 Jan 2010 - Card Production Ordered

You only need to submit the supplemental form I-693A. That is all that is required.

Many of the doctors you go to will try to get you to do the whole medical because they don't really know the forms. After I was told many time we had to do the full medical I printed out the instruction forms and took them with me and showed them that all we needed was the supplemental form and it was done. No problems after that.

They simply need to transcribe the vaccination on the DS-3025 to the I-693A.

Our interview letter doesn't ask for the I-693a. It only asks for I-693 if not already submitted, which it was. We also didn't send in an I-693a with the AOS package.

10/19/2007 Package received in Chicago- signed for by V Bustamante

10/25/2007 NOA1 for AOS, EAD, and AP.

10/26/2007 Check cashed.

11/28/2007 Biometrics appointment in Denver.

12/17/2007 EAD card production ordered!

12/27/2007 EAD card arrives.

12/31/2007 AP approved.

01/07/2008 AP received.

02/01/2008 AOS interview in Denver. APPROVED!

02/11/2008 Green Card received in mail!

Those who had medical examinations already fit in the "already submitted" category, so I-693a is all that is required. As already noted, some slip by without even that but we weren't willing to chance it. You won't know until you get to the interview whether USCIS lost your medical records. If they did, you may need a new medical. There are always exceptions. Just go with the flow.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

Is I-693a really "required?"

A report of vaccinations is required... there is a question as to whether the DS-3025 fulfills that requirement... Some experiences (my own included) would indicate that yes it does.... YMMV
