CONFUSED and WORRIED...pls help...thnx

Hi everyone.....

I have been an avid visitor of this site and got myself registered recently as i find the forum and members here very helpful...As i am doing a head-draining research all the time as much as i could about matters concerning K1, i have read on one site a personal write-up of their experience on dealing with the K1 process....and my question is:

1. Letter of Intent to Marry

my fiancee just wrote a letter of our request asking them for their assistance in helping us process our papers and just wrote BOTH our names under it...with NO signatures from BOTH of us. My fiancee called the USCIS if its possible for us to send the Letter of Intent (individual with signature) and put them on our file since our file is still on que just to save time for possible delay but told us its NOT possible and just wait for NOTICE via mail. Is this just okey or Will these cause a possible RFE?...and so how long does it normally take?

We are very much concern of a time frame because as of the moment am here in Germany on a student visa and my visa expires in April..and CANT afford any delay....

Can any of you guys here give us a helpful advice of the issue just to relieve our worries abit?

The original packet should include both the petitioner and beneficiary's letter of intent (see example here). If you did not include this in your original application, you will have to wait for a (possible but likely) RFE.

An RFE may delay your application, but they generally don't have a significant impact on your processing time.

Just prepare the Letter of Intend and send it already to the United States to your fiance(e) so the letters can be sent out once the RFE shows up. It is very likely that you will get a RFE

You will probably get an RFE but it will just delay your case a few days if you have the signed letters prepared to send right back to them and use next day delivery.

I had an RFE for more evidence and it only delayed the process a couple of weeks. Shouldn't slow ya down much

wow !!! When I wrote my letter of intent being the patitioneer and USC I was the only one who sent in and not my fiance... No rfe... Good luck and Happy New year
