Indeed! And Sierra Vista's a lot cooler than Phoenix.

that it is. i remember a trip from sv to phoenix back in mid 81 - heater on when we left, got outta the car in phoenix and melted into the pavement.

Hey all. I'm considering moving to Phoenix and I would love to hear from members who currently live there of have lived there in the past. Yes I know it is hot as hell ( especially 3 months in the summer ) but I love the heat and hate winter. I hoping for other insights about life in the desert. Thanks!

The Valley of the Sun, as the Metro Phoenix area is called. This is the place everyone wants to live in the winter and no wants to live in the summer. This area is third easies place to fine work in the nation. The cost of living is lower and wage are higher than most of the large metro area. The Phoenix metro is the fifth larges in the nation. If you like sports we have them all. We all four the major pro sport, semi-pro, college, high school and just community sports. Education, we have everything from pre-school some of the best colleges in the nation. Housing, there big range in the apartments, condos, townhouses, and house for rest, lease or for sale. From fixer upper to brand new ones. Activities, you name it is here or short drive away. Here in the winter time you can be water skiing and then in about four hour drive you can be snow skiing. Several of the communities in the Valley of the Sun the fastest grown communities in the nation. I would give the Valley of the Sun two thumbs up. Any thing else I can help you with just let me know.
