Unfortunatly i may have to force myself to go bankrupt. I am worried this will affect K1 process when we apply. Does anyone know if US immigration will query this or not...Thank you

Insofar as a credit check...no, they don't run these types of queries. How (or if) this will affect your income is a question only you can answer - if it does not affect your ability to support your household, there should be no issue.

Who is declaring bankruptcy? US Citizen of foreign citizen?

Bankruptcy is not an issue as long as US citizen's income exceeds 125% poverty line at time of visa interview for the affidavit of support.

If foreign citizen it has no effect at all.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

No. You aren't trying to buy a new car or home. No money down (well sort of) and no credit checks required to get engaged or married. :jest:

You only need to meet the 125% federal poverty guidelines. Your personal financial concerns are yours not rhe USCIS.

Even less important! The only income that matters is the USC's at this point.

IF you the foreign resident applies for Bankruptcy then no, in no way will it affect your case.
