Carshel-Congrats on your cutie!!

Belwin-Precious pictures of your baby girl! :)

KS-Congrats! So cute! The shape of his lips reminds me of how Kavi's looked after birth(and still now) too.

@Chrissy....I can't wait for the results? When did you want to test? I know you WANT to test right now but when do you think you will be able to get a positive result?

well i'm not due to get my period till the 11th of may, so the hormone levels will still be 2 low to get a reading...i think?

Yeah it'd probably be too low until at least a day or two before your period. Though it may be better to wait so you don't get a negative result and feel upset just incase the hormone level isn't there yet and you really are PG. Wishing you the best!! :) I'll just say that I got my positive PG test 2 days before my period was due, so it can show up but if you test early it may not always show up right away.

Wow, so much happens in a few days since I've read this topic!!!

KS - I'm so glad you have your baby. I bet you are sooooo relieved not to be overdue anymore! And he is precious.

Belwin - Love the pics, she is a beauty.

Can't wait to hear from Chnst!

Chrissy - Good luck when you take your test. I know how difficult it can be to wait, especially when you are dying to know!!!

Mommy2Be - I agree with everyone else. DEFINITELY change docs, you have to feel comfortable and you deserve to have a doctor who you connect with. I'm so glad I like my doc, because there are only 2 OB-GYNs in my town!!!

Am I really the next to go??? WOW!

Yes, I did. I was able to get a closer appointment date with the new doctor I found and was recommended by a friend. I will see her in a couple of weeks. I've already called my old doctor's office to go get my medical records from them, didn't even try to convince me to stay or asked why I was leaving, they just don't care and its because of that attitude that I left. Hopefully this new place works out.

Congrats to all the new babies & familes. :)

Aicha had her first ultrasound yesterday and the doctor said her due date was January 28. (!) That didn't sound right, so I found a pregnancy calculator online and if that date is correct, we conceive the child next week. So we're sticking with December 18 which makes lots more sense.

Meanwhile we've got our 8 1/2 month old to keep us busy. VERY busy. He's crawling all over the house now. :)

Hi Mamas!

I'm 22 weeks pregnant now and will be activating my K1 visa in about 6 weeks from now. I have had all the required obgyn appointments in Germany and thank God everything went pretty well so far, we'll have a little baby boy (L) ...

Here's my question, is it true that I might have trouble finding an obgyn in the States because no obgyn would take me in the middle of my pregnancy (somebody told me that)??

Does my German "Mutterpass" (Motherpass) mean anything to an American obgyn? It's a little book which documents my obgyn's appointments and what he has checked on so far (in German, though).

I'd appreciate any advice how to organize my move to the US pregnancy-wise...I don't know anything about the pregnancy medical care in the States, do you ladies have any suggestions for me??? Where should I start from?

Should I schedule an obgyn appointment way in advance or can I wait until I'm in Fredericksburg ,VA?

Any suggestions,ideas?

Thanks a bunch!! :luv:

You may have to pay "cash" (cheque) for services rendered (ouch!).

In NoVA, it may be best to schedule way in advance.
