Here's my update for today.

I'm 5cm dilated, not effaced, cervix is anterior (from posterior) and baby's head is still high. I had my membranes stripped again and took 2tbsp. of castor oil about one hour ago. I'm waiting for something to kick in.

Where is everyone getting Beechnut food? I can't find it anywhere. All the places around here only has Gerber.

Kelly - Simo talks to Ayman only in Arabic and me in English. His family is dying to see him. They wanted us to come for Ramadan, but it just isn't possible financially. I was hoping we could go X-mas thru New Years, but it's looking more like March. I am not looking forward to traveling with him that old, but no choice. When do you think you guys will get to take Zaid to Jordan?

Stina - I bet you are excited. I too thought you had already met Sujeets family. Wow, meeting the family for the first time and with a new baby. Feeling nervous?

Eveline - hope the castor oil works.

Carshel-

Weird, they have Beechnut everywhere here. I get it at Walmart but I have seen it at every grocery store.

Yeah I am excited and nervous! It's been too long waiting for all of us to meet. At first they weren't thrilled with our marriage but they got better with it a couple years ago. Still it didn't work out for me to go with Sujeet on any of his visits due to either money or Kavi being a newborn, etc. It's going to be so expensive to fly there. I haven't been there since my first visit in 2003, so it will be exciting!

Sujeet does speak Hindi to Kavi a lot.

I am happy to read about everyone's plans for travel. Hopefully, that will be us next summer.

AFM: My summer vacation is over and work starts again tomorrow. The only saving grace...I spent the first trimester on vacation and didn't have to deal with the effects of "double trouble" and work. I am only 14 weeks but have an appointment for this and for that every week lately. I go in for a cervical check at the perinatologist's office on Thursday. I am praying it stays about the same and I avoid a cerclage. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Eveline--good news! 5 cm at your last checkup sounds great--let's hope you have more progress before your next check-up!

I'm a high school teacher and we're back to work tomorrow, too. Seems sort of silly to go for just one week (I'm due Thursday and I told them I will be there as long as I haven't had the baby), but in a way it is nice to be able to meet the guy who will be subbing for me and help him with curriculum planning, etc. I just don't want to take any unpaid days off without the baby unless it is necessary. Plus, I'm a little bored and this will help the time pass faster!

Any day now...

Wow, can't wait to see all the new babies coming soon!!!

I start back at work tomorrow and have been crying all evening. I HATE to leave Declan, especially now that all the trouble is over and we were just settling down. And to top it off, my husband was laid off on Friday :(

Going back to work is really hard but it IS easier when you feel good about who is caring for baby so if Declan can stay home with Daddy it might just be perfect for a while :)

hey, where is JP???
