Hi everyone,

I have few question about NOA2, hopefully someone can help me out. I haven't receive my NOA2 yet, but already been receiving paperworks from the NVC already. Don't I supposed to get NOA2 or Approval letter from USCIS first before getting paperworks from NVC? Do we need to bring NOA2 or Approval letter to the interview?

THANKYOU IN ADVANCED

No, snail mail is always slower than email... USCIS is already backed up from all their petitions .. as long as you can confirm that you have NOA2 from USCIS or NVC, then you are good to go... NOA2 is not needed as the Embassy will have the original petition sent to them from NVC/USCIS. NOA2 is just a notice that the case is moving forward.. All notices are just "reminders" that the case is moving forward... and is like providing status for people who do not keep in contact with USCIS or NVC.

The NOA #2 is only a notice that USCIS has approved the case. The only use I have seen for the notice is that some take it for their medical. Once your applicatioin is forwarded to NVC, they will give you a new number (NVC case #) that will appear on everything they send you and you need to have on everything you send them, from barcode sheets to writing the number on each sheet you send them and on money orders.

I'm guessing that you've already received your AoS fee bill and your choice of agent form?? Great! Fill them out, you'll need to get your wife to sign the choice of agent form, and start your NVC processing. The NOA2 will come when it comes, but if you are very concerned you can check online to see if your I-130 has been approved.

Here is the link for the NVC forum here on VJ, it will be invaluable.

hi everyone,

Thankyou very much for responding. The thing is I'm almost done with NVC but still haven't heard anything from NOA2. I am now waiting on the DS230. I called NVC they said they already sent DS230. I called USCIS and asked them about my NOA2 and they said my case is still pending. I'm very confuse right now. Thankyou again for the respond.
