The I-864 is a 2D-barcoded document. As you fill it out electronically, a barcode is generated below the solid black line on each page. USCIS uses that to scan in all the data. OR you can just print and write it in. But don't mix and match because they may just scan it and miss the handwritten info.

So,in short.its only i-864 that has 2D generated barcode..cos. Friend told me i-310 and i-485 also have..but wen I check his copywas an old version form..that's my confusion

There's several 2D barcoded forms, with the I-864 being the most common. The others (that I know of) are:

• I-131 (AP)
• G-28 (Attorney)
• I-821 (TPS)

I think he jumped at the first chance he got.

I'm waiting for him to find a way to declare that naturalized citizens are not "real" citizens, some day in the future.

 

He doesn't seem against illegal immigration only...I get the feeling he's against all forms of immigration---Period.

yea seriously.....am sure we have to see that day in the future.....I've read that DACA deportation will affect the economy and create a lot of chaos as a lot of them are now adults and working and lot more money will go into search and deport....

In the "DACA talking points" memo, the White House laid out a number of bullet points for supporters on Tuesday's announcement outlining the administration's action. One bullet point suggests DACA participants should prepare to leave the country.

 

"The Department of Homeland Security urges DACA recipients to use the time remaining on their work authorizations to prepare for and arrange their departure from the United States -- including proactively seeking travel documentation -- or to apply for other immigration benefits for which they may be eligible," the memo says.

 

This sums it up, sadly, in DHS's eyes.

What are you filing for? A visa or AOS?

 

The I-131 is an optional document typically filed with AOS. Once approved, this allows the AOS applicant to travel abroad without abandoning their AOS application, then re-enter the US.

I think you should go ahead and file I-131 as well, its free when filed with I-485 because we might have family emergencies and might have to go out of country.
