My wife is from Liberia and we have been married for a year and a half. We finally got her green card last Feb and didn't know that we were to renew it before expiration. How can we get the i765 expdited when we send in the paperwork and money next week? She has car payment and phone bill to care for.

hi,

if she got the 2 year GC in Feb, then it expires in over 1 year still, 90 days before the card expires, she files for removal of conditions

the i765 is only when a person is waiting to get the GC, not for residents, you maybe were thinking of the form i751 which is the form for removal of conditions

once she files for removal of conditions, she will receive her notification, which will extend her residency for a year more

so relax, she is still good, check the date of the card, and count 90 days back, not 3 months

hi,

did you file for her? what type of petition does she have? did she have her interview already and they haven't given a response?

we need more details on the process, we are just guessing without all the details

hi

so you meant work permit, not work visa, the EAD is the work permit that allows her to be legally in the US until she has her interview

when is the expiration date on the card? if the card had less than 6 months, once they told her that they needed to reschedule, she should have applied for a renewal, there is no cost for the renewal of the work permit while pending the process

2 17 17 is the date on work permit. The original date was October 9 then they still have not rescheduled the interview. They said it would cost to renew 410 and 85 biometrics

hi

nope, the person who spoke to her misinformed her, they normally do

Is she currently working? I'm not sure if it can be expedited, but send it as soon as possible, with the copy of the work permit, I'm not sure if you need to send anything else with the form,

but there is no cost
