Checklist Received by Phone, What to Send by Mail?

Hi everyone,

So on Friday I was told I need to send a new version of the petitioner's and joint sponsor's I864 forms due to a mistake on both of them. The NVC said I would get an email about the checklist, but I haven't gotten it yet. If I want to send the documents to the NVC before the email comes so I don't waste even more time there, what should I send with the new I864s? I am planning on sending an AOS cover sheet and maybe a short note explaining that the forms are being sent in response to a checklist I received by phone. But is there a checklist cover sheet that I need to wait for before I send the documents?

I am still waiting for the joint sponsor to FedEx me the new I864, so I haven't sent the new forms to the NVC yet. Maybe the email will arrive in the next day or two. Why can't the system just send an email as soon as the checklist is generated?

Well please do not send your AOS back in parts. You have to wait for your joint sponsors forms or you will get yet another checklist. I am sure the email will be forth coming and its a specific Checklist Cover page so you should wait. Sending in your updated I-864 then your joint sponsors will delay you even further.

I wasn't going to send the two I864s separately. I am waiting for the joint sponsor's to arrive so I can send them both together. But I don't have a checklist cover sheet. Should I wait for the NVC to send that before sending the I864s as well? Considering how slow everything else has been with them, I'd rather send them off ASAP. Will the NVC get confused if I send a checklist response without a checklist cover sheet? How long will it take for a checklist cover sheet to arrive?

Just wait the email. They will explain clearly what should be done. I did the same. I waited the email checklist before i send the updated AOS forms.

it happened to me that 1 agent is kind enough to explain to me over the phone about my checklist in details, and what should need to be done. She also told me to wait the email , i waited. Another time, i called again since i never get the checklist yet, spoke to another agent, she just told me i have a checklist, i ask her to explain to me what the checklist all about and she couldn't do it, she just said it is hard to explain to you over the phone you better wait the email since we explain clearly in there. In that situation don't trust any agent over the phone cuz they have different version. Some don't know what they are doing or talking about. Some are lazy enough and just hurry to hang u up. I have a checklist about the AOS, cuz i need to put 1 for my self, i couldn't mark 1 in their online form so in that i have a wrong total number of dependands. I have notes at home.

Got case # & IIN # May 29, 2015, Pay the AOS ,fill up ds-261 and submit AOS & IV Docs on May 30,2015. Case reviewed June 29, same day they told me i got a AOS checklist, received email about the checklist on July 10, NVC received my revised AOS on July 13, 2015. I pay my IV Fee thru mail on July 9. Right now i still can't log in the website to fill up the ds-260. I got stuck. Been calling them thousands of time. They ask me to wait 15 days for the IV Payment will show PAID online, so i can fill up ds-260, i don't know. My updated AOS will take another 30 days for them to review from the day they receive which is July 13. They said If i can fill up ds-260 anytime from now to before they review my updated AOS then it will go together no more 30 days waiting for my ds-260. Hoping i can fill up the ds-260 one of this week or next week or before the start reviewing my AOS. WAITING GAME IS SUCKS.

Just wait the email. They will explain clearly what should be done. I did the same. I waited the email checklist before i send the updated AOS forms.

I called and just found out today nvc is missing some document (they basically lost it cuz I'm positive I sent it already)

I know when we respond to checklist we need to attach checklist cover sheet.

So I really have to wait for email? I just wanna mail it tmr ughhh

ask them to make sure what specific document they lost....it is okay i guess to send it now.....mind before is the AOS form that need to have some changes so i waited to see what really it is.... luckily my IV fee showed up PAID yesterday and right away i fill out ds-260....now just a waiting game for my updated AOS & DS-260 to review takes 30 days so hoping to hear by Aug. 13 and please hope no more checklist.....sigh....
