My spouse applied for me and I was denied based on the fact that name of the mother of tmy twin boys was on my visa application back home @ the U.S. embassy. I was never married to her formerly.

A friend back home helped get a letter from the marriage registry to the effect that I was never married to her formery. It was discovered upon verification that the document was a fake. I appealed the decision and the case was sent US Dept of Justice (Executive Office for Immigration Review). I last heard from the Immigration June 28, 2012, a reply to the appeal.

The last two paragraphs of the letter reads thus: "On remand, both the petitioner and the DHS should have the opportunity to submit any and all available relevant evidence regarding the Nona fides of the marriage. We make no determination on the merits of the visa petition.

ORDER: The record is remanded to the Director for further proceedings and issuance of a new decision."

So you married your current wife when already married.

Then obtained a forged document saying you were not married?

Could you explain what you mean "I was never married to her formerly"?

Does this mean a traditional wedding only? no papers filed?

And when you say Help you? what is it you seek from us.? I hope you have a lawyer. This is a big mess as you know. Fake papers in Nigeria isn't something that can easily be something that can be getting out of.

Does Immigration say they believe its a fake or do you say its a fake?

I meant FORMALLY. We lived together and she had a set of twin boys together. The Immigration says the document obtained by my friend in Nigeria is fake. I do have a lawyer. I have not heard from Immigration since June 28, 2012 and the case is yet inconclusive. I'm needing of advice on what to do next.

Are you a USC/LPR? Your case bothered on fraud and this is beyond any lay man other than a competent lawyer and not just any lawyer but those with knowledge and experience about Lagos... Nigeria is notorious for producing the kind of document you described here and it is so common that the Lagos embassy cannot accommodate any attempt of fraud let alone a verified fraud... What do you do about it? Honestly, I don't know! Sorry...

Dude that would be misrep with any fake docs

and DHS wont accept tthe excuse that your friend

got it for you. You need to get an atty in your country

who is trustworthy to go to the marriage registery or

whatever it is there, and get an official verifiable official

document stating/proving you were never ever married

in that country , this will not be over-looked so use this

time to get you records right....not much more can be said
