The postal ID in Married name and a NBI in both Maiden name, and Married name are the 2 easiest picture id's to get. The CFO will accept these, I don't know about a voters ID. If she don't get any hits on her name, the NBI clearance takes a hour to two. Around Manila there are several NBI offices, one is at Robinsons place mall. If she lives outside manila chances are one is still close to her. nbi.gov.ph/

The NBI clearance is something you will need anyway at the NVC stage, and you need to find out as soon as possible if you can get a clean report. If you get a hit, it could take a month or more to get a clearance, so you don't want to wait until the last minute to do this. Even if you need to go back and get a updated NBI report before the Embassy interview, it is better to know that you have a clean NBI now. Just be sure to tell her to have them check her maiden and married name on the NBI.

Her Id's are all in Maiden name, can't change passport to married name w/o CFO guidance counseling seminar.

To change any ID's she needs her passport changed first which requires the CFO certificate.

So she needs NBI for passport change? Where is this done and how long does it take?

Hello. Good day. I don't think she needs to get her passport change before she can get a new ID's. All she need is to bring the married certificate, photocopy and then change her name then. For example: postal ID that's the only requirements that they will require coz she's already married, the other requirements just inquire at the postal office.Also maybe to her driver's license...

Renewing passport to reflect married name process really confuses me. Why would cfo be needed. It is just to change name.

I will have to deal with dfa too. Consulate refused to renew my pasport to my married name and just placed an ammenent.

Will cfo still be needed?

I do not think that someone traveling say to Thailand needs a CFO sticker, is this correct? I had thought about doing an end around the CFO thing with my wife and flying out of another country, it would be easier than the hassle of the 'dreaded CFO' experience.. My wifes passport is still in maiden name and will go to a consulate to renew and change the name when the time comes. We will probably travel back to the Philippines before this anyways but I would rather deal with a consulate here than any gov entity there.

Nope that isn't correct. Once the visa is in the passport, that person is not exiting the Philippines without the CFO sticker, no matter where they are flying to.
