Hello,

I'm hoping some vj members out there can advise on the following:

On the 12/23/2010 I received a text/email that my EAD process was "We ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for the card to be mailed to you".

However, today I received an tex/email saying that "we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I765".

Does anyone know if the EAD card comes together with that approval letter. At first I thought the first notice for card production was for approval.

Any input on this is appreciated! Thanks,

You usually get three emails. The first email WAS for approval; the second email you mention was letting you know they mailed the approval notice to you. The "approval notice" does have the physical card in it. Good luck.

Three e-mails? Hmmmm I got two only....oh well...

The first one I received after I had my biometrics appointment (postal mail invitation) was telling me a status update that my card is in production

on 12/23.

Today I received an e-mail that they sent me an approval notice for my EAD application on 12/30.

Oddly enough the case status online then switches backwards, from "Card/Document production" to "Post decision activity" - don't let that make you thoughtful. I have read on another thread that in 99% of cases means that your actual card was mailed out to you.

And yes, even got the proof in the mailbox today, got my "membership card" in the mail *yaY* :)

Hope you get yours soon in no time too, with the holidays now being over.

M.

The one thing I've learned from this process, and I think most people on VJ would be inclined to agree, is that the only thing you can consider is physically receiving something in the mail. The USCIS website, the texts, the emails can all be very sporadic and not everyone receives them, even when they register to.

However, once you receive a letter, you know you are good to go!

I got two e-mails--one on 12/22 saying the EAD and AP had been approved. And then another today saying they mailed me a notice that the EAD was approved on 12/28. But I already have the EAD and AP in my hot little hands. They arrived sometime over the Christmas break.

Hey! Maybe they're finally getting rid of the second email which was redundant to the first, and only sending two now; one that says production order and one that says mailed notice. That is an improvement :) Just goes to show you how fast things can change at USCIS.

Good News!

We received our EAD card in the mail today! Even though the text/email we received today said the approval notice had been mailed on Dec. 30.

Thanks all for your replies!

We'll continue moving patiently towards the completion of the AOS.

I really appreciate your message about your EAD card.May i please know the date on which you had applied for your EAD card.I would really appreciate your help as this will help me figure out an approximate date for my EAD card delivery. It's been close to 45 days since I applied for it.

Thanks once again.

Regards.
