1. You're looking at wrong data set - USCIS may be done with the application (approved) but 2. the NVC is the one assigning available visa numbers. You want to look at the visa bulletin on state.gov webpage. Current processing time is around 8,5 years for most countries except Mexico and Philippines.

Again, looking at USCIS website - what you linked is NOT state website - does not get you any faster to the visa number...

This is the link to the Jan 2011 visa bulletin. A sibling of a US citizen is category F4 and they are currently assigning visa numbers for case with a priority date of Jan 2002. So the current wait is about 8 years. This is subject to change each month. If your priority date is Sept 2006 you still have about 4 1/2 years until a visa number becomes available.

Her mother applied for her brother (OP's uncle as I understand) in the past couple of months and that's why she's asking. Regardless, still 8 yr wait.

F4 Visa Filers has to also undergo 3 stages, USCIS, NVC & Consulate.

The timeline is spread across evenly too..:crying:

If you finish USCIS stage early, then you wait at NVC & Consulate for the remaining years..

If you take long time at USCIS, then your NVC & Consulate Stage will be early..

:crying:
