Hey,

im german and we applied for the k1 visa at June 22nd 2017.

Since then it just says my case was received. So by now it's 145 days. What makes me worry a bit because I just heard something about 3 months till the second letter?

Our wedding will be June 2nd next year snd we are planning to move over at the 26th of April.

Does it makes sense to call them?

Somebody else here where it tooks so long too? do I need to worry??

Thanks for now 😀

Sabrina

Processing times are currently increasing. There is no need for you to worry. Once you're outside of normal processing times (which you're still quite far off from), you can call/put in a service request. We all know how frustrating the wait is, but be patient, it will come.

The 3 month timeline has been gone for a few months.  Currently the NOA2 will be between 5 and 6 months.  I believe right now it is between 170 and 180 days.  You are almost there!  June 2nd should be easily doable even with these longer processing times.  Welcome to the forum!

While these dates are reasonable given current timelines, I highly suggest keeping an open mind and maintaining a flexible schedule. Things happen. And the cardinal rule is to not buy tickets or put money down (that you aren't willing to lose) until the visa is in hand.

Good luck!
