Here are a couple of examples of AOS cover letters.  I know ours looked a lot like these.  As to evidence, I would take a look at the I751 examples of evidence.  USCIS does not expect a ton of evidence for AOS other than to verify marriage (marriage certificate) and income verification for the I864, but many people front load their application with as much information as possible showing joint bank accounts, joint bills, insurance coverage information, etc.  As to pictures, generally people do not include these with an AOS application, but they maybe good if you are called to an interview.  By the way, which visa are you adjusting from?  Your banner shows you at the Naturalization stage.

Good Luck!

My wife is adjusting from K-1 Fiancé visa.

We do have a joint bank account but electricity bills, water bills, internet bills...etc are only under my name. Do I need to add her to all the accounts?

Also so what's the policy on health insurance? My wife came to the US on 12/22 and we got married at the end of January. She does not have insurance yet in the US....Should I add her to my health insurance now? Or what should I do?

thank you in advance

The utility bills depend on when you plan to file the AOS.  If soon, then I wouldn't worry about it, but make sure you get these changed by the time you file the Removal of Conditions.  If you are waiting more than a month to file, then go ahead and contact your utilities to add her.  I know with mine, it took a full billing cycle (1 month) before I saw her name on the bill, so we decided to file without them, but they were good when we filed th ROC.

As to health insurance, yes, you should add her to your insurance as soon as you can.  I am not sure of your situation, but I have employer provided health insurance, and getting my wife added was pretty easy.  You need to check with your provider, but you should do it soon.

We are planning to apply for it soon.

For the utility bills, I will add her in the account as soon as I can and maybe I can use that as my proof whenever we have the interview down the road.

For the health insurance, I worked as an independent contractor so the company does not provide health insurance.

I do have my own health insurance but she doesn't have it yet. What if we just filed for AOS now and she does not have insurance? Will that be a red flag for the USCIS?

Is it a violation for her not to have a health insurance in the US with a K-1 visa now?

Her K-1 Visa will expire in 3/22/2017

Thanks again!

I would do the health insurance like the utility bills, get her on yours, or get her covered, but don't let it hold up filing the AOS.  You can take it to the interview with you if you have one.  The only issue with lack of healthcare insurance really applies to when you file taxes, it is not a requirement for immigration status as far as I know.  I don't think it will be a red flag.

Good Luck!

Supporting evidence for AOS ends up mostly whatever documents are needed for your I-864 (affidavit of support) plus the marriage certificate (to prove you married within the 90 days and you're meeting the requirements of the K1). Most times, the couple hasn't yet had time to change much of anything else. You should, of course, add her to bank accounts, utilities, mortgage, lease, etc as soon as possible but none of it is really really needed for AOS (it becomes much more important later on for ROC).

As for insurance, it's mostly a matter of precaution should anything happen. You want to get that handled asap for your own peace of mind, but it is not crucial to AOS.

The K1 journey:                                                                                                                             The AOS journey:

11/09/2013 - I-129F Packet mailed to Dallas Lockbox                                                                                         06/22/2015 - AOS packet mailed to Chicago Lockbox

02/14/2014 - Case shipped to Embassy, where it waited for over a year at my request                                 11/07/2015 - AOS approved (EAD and AP had already been approved) - there was no interview

05/21/2015 - Interview - Approved

06/19/2015 - Wedding (L)

The ROC journey:

10/12/2017 - ROC packet mailed to VSC

01/21/2019 - ROC Approved - there was no interview

The N-400 journey:

02/16/2020 - N-400 application filed online

02/21/2020 - Paper NOA received in the mail

03/13/2020 - Biometrics

02/02/2021 - Interview & test - Approved

02/05/2021 - Oath Ceremony
