Anyone else finding it hard to find a place that does Canadian passport pictures?

Those are not accepted for Canadian passports

Canada requires the stamp of the photographer and they need to date and sign it.

The Canadian Consulate in Denver gave me a list of qualified places.  Mike's Camera was one.  I'm not sure if that company is in your city but see if they are.  Either that or the Canadian consulate nearest you can provide you with a list, even over the phone.

Because the picture size requirements are different for Canadian Passport Photo's then US (US photo size is smaller and different shape) it can be difficult.  I have, in the past gone to the local CVS to have the photo's done, but asked them not to cut them.  I did the cutting myself using the size info found http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/passport/apply/photos.asp  Just make sure your cut lines are straight.

 

One Edit....just make sure that they (CVS, or whoever you choose) stamps the back of the photo with the info required.

They kinda can.  They will print off paperwork and look it over before you send it too.

Like impossible. I finally found a photographer in Kearney, NE who was willing to do ours. He charges us a sitting fee and uses a white background and then prints and crops to Canadian passport size. So expensive!!! Cost me  $79 every time I have needed a pic. Me, my daughter and I'm dreading my sons expiring shortly! Don't bother trying it yourself,  it must be signed and dated by a photographer.
