She will be arriving in America soon. Just hoping someone can tell me what the next steps are. I know getting married and social security number. What about for her to get a job? Is there any certain kind of paper to be filled out for this so she can apply soon? Also anything else we need to be doing as well to keep everything on track and going good! It's best to apply for her work authorization at the same time as the aos. Read the aos guide and k1 flow chart for a better understanding

the work permit, EAD form i765 is included in the adjustment of status packet

but it can be up to 3 months from filing until she gets it, so no job for a few months

she has 6 months I believe to enter the country, the visa will have an expiring date, so she must enter the country before that, the k1 is a once entry type of visa, so she can't leave until she gets her travel permit, which will also be included in the adjustment of status

so the sooner you file the paperwork after marriage, the sooner she can start her life here. She will get a 2 year GC since you will have been married for less than 2 years. up to 90 days before the card expires, she will have to remove conditions, proving once again bona fide marriage to be able to receive the 10 year GC

The fees for the I-765(EAD-work authorization) and I-131(AP-advance parole for travel) are waived when filed with a pending I-485, so include both of those too. It takes about 60-90 days to receive the EAD/AP combo card, which will allow you to work(along with an SSN) and re-enter the US when traveling abroad while waiting for the green card approval.

You need all the supporting documents for each form as well, so read the instructions for each one. You can also search here on VJ for what to include with each form if you get stumped. There are also example forms here on VJ you can look at when filling out the forms. They can be helpful.
