ok no problem ; i just want know and have more information about the procedure of K1 visa, i am waiting now the interview i did received the 2 letter from the acceptation of files of k1 visa i am married a woman from florida ; and now i dont have big ideas about the procedure for papers before the interiew.... the two acceptation letter you talking about are they the NOA1 & NOA2??

are you engaged or married ?? did you fill I-129F or I-130 ?

i am from algeria and i am still in algeria my fiance did come for 10 days last march she did applied for the visa k1 they did reply us the first letter i got it they say we did accept the file...ect and the second letter i got it in 10 days ago they say we did send the files to your countrty ( algeria) we going call you in coupls weeks, i am waiting them to call me but i dont know what i need to take with me as papers...ect

i am looking exactly about the procedure of K1 visa now i am waiting the interview but as i said i need more informations about what i need take with me for the interview

I know asking about the words "wife" and "marriage" may seem picky since you are not a native English speaker, but it is very important you do NOT call your loved one a spouse/ wife/ refer to a wedding when you are going for a K1 visa, because you may be denied for being married.

During the interview, it is important to show that you know your fiance very well, and address any red flags. Red flags are things that make the CO (Consular Officer) suspicious about your relationship, such as a big age or religious difference, either of you having recently divorced, previous immigration attempts etc. It seems like you only met your fiance in person once? It can be difficult to get approved with only one meeting. If in any way possible, have her come to visit you again before or for the interview, and if she has any kids, bring them with so they can meet you.

the letter you got 10 days ago says that your petition is approved and your file is sent to NVC that letter is called NOA2. the NVC will assign a case number and Invoice ID. do you have these? the case number is something like this : ALG2016xxxxxxx did you check if your petition is still at NVC, in transit or at the embassy in Algeria? (you can check from this link : https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx ... select immigrant visa).

if you and your fiancée don't have them call NVC at this number: 603-334-0700 then 1 for English then 7 to speak to someone.

as the previous post mentioned be careful what words to use and she is not your wife and you are not married to her yet!!!

so can you confirm if you have your ALG number !

yes she did come once in last march for 10 days and she cant back again because she work and all , but exacly thats what they say on the letter

THE NVC will now forward the petition to the U.S embassy or consulate in algeirs please not that transfer process can take seceral weeks.........ect

after you get your case number check the link i gave you to see when your petition is here at the embassy. meanwhile..your fiancée need to prepare these files and send by mail ( you need original not email):

Affidavit of support. (form I-134)

Letter from employer.

W2s, tax returns, bank statements, check stubs.

Letter of intent to marry your Fiance within the 90 days from you both

you will need the following:

2 passport pictures.

your passport.

receipt from medical exam.

copy of email from embassy.

confirmation page of the DS-160.

copy of your passport.

copy of your birth certificate. copy of your birth certificate in English and notarized.

single status certificate. single status certificate in English and notarized.

police certificate. police certificate in English and notarized..

Proof of relationship: emails, pictures, ect...
