Wondering about processing times for K-1 visa applications at SRC

Hello to all,

I was checking the timeline for K-1 applications at the visajourney timeline pages. I noticed there are quite a few cases with very short processing times (90-120 days) compared to the average (180-240 days). Anyone knows why there are cases with such a short processing time? Thanks!

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)

Did you search TSC and "not transferred"? When they started routing all petitions to CSC in March, people thought that they were being "transferred" when they were just sent to CSC. I suggest filtering for TSC and "not transferred" and you will see more of a consistent pattern.

11/27/2015- Arrived at Embassy
06/2016- Third visit to Nigeria!
06/15/2016- Interview, given option to file I-601 waiver.
08/16/2016- Waiver submitted (no lawyer).
11/21/2016- Waiver approved with expedite.
01/2017- Embassy requested interview. 
04/2017- Fourth visit to Nigeria.  K1 officially denied. 
04/25/2017- NOA1 for 2nd K1.
07/27/2017- Case transferred to TSC.
11/17/2017- Case transferred back to CSC.
01/16/2018- NOA2!! (266 day wait)
03/08/2018- Interview (AP)
05/03/2018- VISA APPROVAL!!!
05/14/2018- Visa issued
05/18/2018- Visa picked up
05/25/2018- HE'S HOME!!! 💙💙💙

Hi! Yes, I did search TSC and "not transferred". That's why I was wondering what could be the reason for the fast approval of these cases. Still got no clue and apparently no one else does. Anyway, it was more curiosity than any other thing. Thanks for answering.

They are either some sort of expedite, or more likely people who filled out their timeline incorrectly. I would estimate at least 20% of filers that are actually at CSC think that because they sent their application to the LOCKBOX in Texas, they are in Texas. Rest assured, if you see an approval from Jun-August on Igor's list that says TSC, they are actually at CSC. I have sent a couple of them messages to fix their timeline, because it screws up the estimated processing time for the rest of us that are actually stuck in Texas.

Our K-1 journey:

3/2/2015- Petition sent Fedex overnight

3/3/2015- Petition received (NOA1 according to USCIS website)

3/5/2015- Paper NOA1 notice date

9/1/2015- NOA2!! (182 days)

9/4/2015- sent to NVC

9/17/2015- finally got through to NVC and case number assigned

9/24/2015-Status changed to "in transit"

9/29/2015-Dublin Embassy Received

9/29/2015-Packet 3 Received

10/7/2015- Medical scheduled

10/7/2015- Packet 3/readiness sent (Dublin Embassy needs medical complete before readiness is sent)

10/8/2015- Interview scheduled for Oct 29

10/29/2015- Interview, approved! (241 days)

11/9/2015- Visa in hand

12/30/2015- Planned US entry

I always send them messages when I see them with the incorrect service center :). In a very nice way, of course!
