you control the pace, minimum 90 days max 2 years (currently). at NVC,

then 20 to 60 days after NVC finishes the intake, for the appointment.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

That is a good one. How do you control the pace ? 30 Days to get a number, 10 days to get AOS invoice, then nothing, maybe another 30 Days or maybe 60 days for IV invoice. Tell me how you control this.

ok - take another look at a calendar. you really do control the pace there, many people not go fast with NVC.

However - MOST folk here at VJ go fast, because of the shortcuts in the wiki [take a look when you can make time]

I just received a text last night stating that our I-130 was approved on 18 July and that a letter was to be mailed to me with further instructions. This was only 3 days after our I-130 file was transferred from the Nebraska Service Center to California's. Our file sat at the Nebraska Service Center for close to 5 months with nothing happening and was eventually transferred to California Service Center where it seems like the process was expedited.

I assume the next step will be for our files to go to NVC for final processing? As Guioyugo posted in his inquiry...my wife and I will also be waiting for the paperwork to go to the U.S. Embassy in Bogota, Colombia for the interview and visa processing.

I know the timelines are hypothetically based off several issues at the NVC processing center, but how long should one anticipate waiting before instructions are received about the medical appointments and interview at the U.S. Embassy in Bogota?

Thank you for your help!

Kimo

depends on when you finish up the Doc Intake and Fee Payment at NVC. Instructions are in the interview letter, and that's the very last thing that is given over from NVC. Must do many steps prior.

Still haven't really gotten an answer. I checked my old timeline and looks as thow from start to finish from Ucis to Nvc took about 3 months from start to appointment. Just wondering if its still the same from a year ago

How in the world do you get them to generate the IV bill ?

iv bill gets generated after you receive your new case number roughly 2 weeks

no it doesn't. IV bill is generated after DS-261 is accepted and added to the case file.
