I did my interview on the 6 June got put in AP on the 18 June case changed to ready on the 27 June to Ready today makes it one month since the embassy has my passport, And no word from them the told me at the interview it would take 2-4 weeks to get my visa in hand what could be the hold up is it because I have a common name/ ya my name is Kemar Smith the back ground check is longer or is it because my fiancee changed her address but she called uscis and they told her they don't have anything to do with that man this wait is getting me angry for real, what the longest one in Jamaica had or is waiting. A friend did their interview the 13 and got his back in 2 weeks

*sigh* Kemar i am sorry you feel this way. I can sympathies with you. I also have been waiting a while my situation is different i can understand. They've had my passport for over a month now and i have checked a few ppl who've gotten their approvals and i can say that i can range anywhere from 5 days to several months. I don't know why it takes so long, but its a process we all have to go through. Hope this helps.
