Hello guys, for me it is still months away, but as I prepare financially for a few more trips. I wanted to asks if there is real value in going to the interview with my fiance. Will it improve the chances of approval of the K1 if I go with her?

Thanks!

If anything it cannot hurt you to go to the interview. Keep in mind that some consulate will not allow anybody else in the interview room while other consulate will allow the petitioner in the room. However just having you at least in the same building will give your fiance a mental boost.

Look on the REVIEW Embasssy on VJ. You can read what people said about the consulate in Belarus. Also you can read on the consulate website for more information. To make it quick for you- I already check the consulate in Belarus and it said that the petitioner can be in the interview room.

For my personal side- The website for the consulate in Brazil stated clearly that they highly recommend the petitioner to show up. I had already planned to fly back to Brazil for the interview even if I cannot be in the room. I want to be there for my wife.

yes it differs from every consulate.from our experience even if the consulate didnt say i have to be with her or not, which they say is that i will not be allowed to be with her on the interview itself.but i still went..lol!and it pays off!surprisingly, i was allowed to be with her in the interview.we both were ask, just the basic questions.mostly about my work.we never have to prove and tell our love story, she just ask us our pictures and thats it.

wish you goodluck on your interview!

I plan on attending the interview with my fiance (Montreal), even if they won't let me be in the interview room with him. Since he'll find out immediately, I don't want to find out the news from a phone call. We'll either be celebrating or crying, but it'll be done together :P

In my opinion (not based off experience), it can only be positive. It shows faith and validity to the relationship, and it shows the petitioner is financially stable enough to afford the flight.
