I just got an email that says this

"On September 16, 2014, the post office returned the notice we last sent you on this case I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION as undeliverable. This may have serious effects on processing this case. Please call 1-800-375-5283 to update your mailing address for this notice to be re-sent.

I really don't know why that happened. Is it supposed to be signed? I guess it is the interview appt. letter...

All the previews letter were delivered but this one. Is it "may have serious effects on processing this case" serious?

Or it would just delay my case? Uh so frustrating...

The same thing happened to us today. We received all other letters except one. One even had the wrong address on it but I guess the mailman knew that and gave it to us anyway. Luckily, our lawyer received the missing NOA and sent us a copy. When I went to check our case status today, the same thing you mentioned was posted. I called the 1-800 number to check if the correct address was on file but she said I had to schedule an appointment with a local cis officer since she can't access that information. Maybe that's what happened to you guys and somebody botched your address. Hopefully you'll get your letter soon!

Hello! I filed my application on Aug 15 and received biometrics appointment letter for Sept 17th, did a walk in on Sept 9 at the El Monte center. Status changed from "Acceptance" to "testing and interview" today. How long does it usually take to receive the notice with the actual date for interview?

Wow, that was fast! Well, seems like you are the lucky one on this board. None of us has gotten that far (not sure about the status changing online, but I'm definitely sure that no one here has received a letter for an interview yet!). You can look on the threads for April, May and maybe June filers to get a better idea how long it might take. However, no one can really say for sure, since it depends on how busy your local office is--some have interview appointments available sooner than others due to workload.

Hehe, I've been looking every day to see if my status changes to testing and interview, 15 days tomorrow and nothing yet. You are definetely lucky that only took 8 days to you.

Like Pickle said, try and look on the april, may, june etc threads and their timelines.. It varies with your local office I guess. There is people from the new york office that takes forever, and some offices you receive your interview letter a week after it moves from testing and interview...

12/05/2013 - Arrived on J1 Status

03/28/2014 - Married <3

08/08/2014 - Sent i-130, i-485, i-131, i-765 to Chicago Lockbox (day 00)

08/11/2014 - USCIS received package. (day 03)

08/18/2014 - NOA Hard Copy for i-485, i-130, I-131 and i-765 (day 10)

08/22/2014 - Biometrics Appoiment Notice for 09/03/2014 (day 14)

09/03/2014 - Biometrics done (day 26)

11/06/2014 - i-485 changed to Testing and Interview (day 85)

11/10/2014 - EAD Approved (day 89)

11/10/2014 - Interview scheduled to 12/11/2014

11/18/2014 - EAD in hands

12/11/2014 - Interview - Basically approved on the spot. Received text messages saying card/document production 30 minutes later

Of course I was interested myself to go look (even though I am not in that stage yet). An example how this can vary: on the June filer thread there is one person who got an interview letter only SIX days after the status changed to testing and interview! On the same thread, another person's status change to testing and interview on July 30th, but only got the date for the interview September 10. Then, on the May filers, there is a girl whose status changed on July 7th and she has not received an interview notice yet. Isn't it just crazy! And that all depends on your local office's workload!

I'm also checking my status waaaay too much :D I saw someone on the June filer thread that waited exactly 3 weeks from biometrics to the change of status to testing and interview.

Ok, so I got the darn pink letter (RFE).

They are asking for the Tax Returns and W-2s from my Wife(petitioner) and her father (Co-sponsor/household member).

Which I'm 110% sure I sent, but I've heard from other people that sometimes they do loose some papers or sometime they just don't see it on the ocean of paperwork. Whatever.. I'm just gonna get all the copies again and send it. :protest:
