2 weeks in my case because it was over Christmas break. (Interview was December 21, and I got my visa January 7.) But it differs for everyone, depends on where you live and how you choose to get your packet, and also on each individual case as some get put on AP etc. I would not purchase plane tickets or anything based on other people's experiences.

Hi andieapril,

Have you gotten a change in status yet? Ours went to Ready on March 28th, with a last update on April 8th...still stuck there.

Thanks

Hi... still Ready as of last Friday, last updated on Ceac April 8. Am getting so anxious, lol

I called the embassy also last Friday, the woman who answered was actually surprised. She said, "Oh, you were just interviewed last March 24 ("kaka-interview mo lang pala nung March 24"). I repeated what the Filipino officer said after the interview: 5 to 7 days. She just ignored that comment.

Per embassy policy, a visa is a privilege, not a right. If they want us to wait, then we will wait :( I need patience and a good sense of humor :)

Yes, that's certainly apparent now. I'm happy for the folks who got their passport back in 3 to 5 days, sucks for me and others who fell into some kind of hole.

Would be nice if they can just tell you to expect a long wait upfront ("Expect your passport back within 2 months, or sooner if you are lucky") rather than saying 7 days then let you wait and panic everyday like crazy. A better management of expectations goes a long way, imho, also for them (so people would stop nagging them).

I'm really fine to wait it out, go thru all their processes, I just hate having this doubt in my mind that something is wrong with my files that's why it's taking so long :(

I started this thread partly so other folks in this same situation can have like a support group. It helps to know we are not alone in this waiting well.... We haven't been forgotten, we are in the queue.

cool ! coolio, even !

see, it's supposed to be a nagging bit,

reminding folk to actually update their timeline

and

since you want to be the bearer of the data,

entice you to actually use google docs and make a spreadsheet about it,

like other folk in the other regionals do.

;)

Thanks for letting us other people know that yer pointy clickie skills are stellar. I, for one, as one of the other people, invite you to do a bit more, and share the url of the spreadsheet yer gonna create in Google Docs.

Go Get Em, and Good Luck !

... hold on now .. that would be too simple. :)

I know, right? Still, lots of extrapolation and spreadsheet filling, if'n she wanted to set up a monthy tabular bit in GoogleDocs, like the other Regionals Do.
