How to safe Facebook chat logs without copy paste troubles!

Not sure where to post it right now but I am so excited about finally finding an option how to safe FB chat logs without all the copy-paste-####### that I have to share it here, I hope its not said a billion times already

1. Click on your account settings on the front page up right

2. Under the box of all the settings you can click to download a copy of all your facebook data

3. You will recieve an email (mine took less than 3 mins) with a link to download your archive.

4. Open the zip-folder and go to html

Et voila! There you have all your fb-messages ever sent

i cant find the messages, how can i download just let's say my fiance's chats?

Yeah I know I was about to do the copy and paste thing too until I found this and am very happy to share how to avoid it

So you go to the zip-folder you downloaded, there you click on messages.

It will open on your browser window and show ALL the messages first, the easiest way now is to use the search feature, type in the facebook name of you fiance and then from there copy paste it all you just have to check where the chat log with your fiance ends and the ones with another friend on facebook starts but that really is the only annoying thing that solution takes.

are you taking to your interview all of your facebook messages or you are going to select some of them?

and are you going to take with you on your interview those facebook messages that you already sent to USCIS?

We're still very early on in the process. We only have our NOA1. We submitted with the K-1 package selected posts from FB over the months kind of chronicling our relationship (our attorney's advice). For the interview itself we'll probably do the same, just show a conversation or two from each month since we've been together. We want to have enough evidence but not an overwhelming amount. We also did the same with our e-mails, whatsapp logs, skype logs, etc. I want to be thorough but not go crazy with it.

When i did that ... all of my messages appeard together .... with all the people i have talked with and i only want the ones with my fiance.

:S i'm confused :S
