Good Morning,

I contacted my congressman a few weeks ago and he finally got back to me to let me know that my petition has been shipped to the NVC. This morning i recieved an email from NVC research stating that my file has been located here is the email "please be advised the NVC contacted USCIS in regards to my approved petition (NBC) has informed us that your petition is located at the (NRC) and USCIS will have the file ordered for officer review". This does not suprise me especially when i waited for over a year just to get my petition approved, I just hope that this goes smoothly once NVC recieves my petiton because this ####### is getting really old.

I am very sorry this happened to you

unfortunately it is very common these days

I am pretty sure it is due to the local offices processing this file type and they are not used to it. there is debate as to whether the nrc when it is tagged on your file is an actual location or just a tag.

my file was tagged nrc, but was sitting at the local office that approved it. I was able to catch it with an infopass and am fortunate that I did, because I would surely be in the same boat as you.

spread the word.. that NOA2 letter that states your file has been sent to the NVC has to be followed up on

good to hear you made it there.. I got confirmation my file was at nrc on may 28 and after hassling a bunch of folks including higher ups at uscis it made it to the nvc on june 7

it should only be a few days to get into the nvc from here

Sounds like what may have happened to me as well. I've got the Senator's office and the NVC looking for it. I'll stop back when I find out.

Local offices do not adjudicate I-129Fs for K-1 visa chasers, at all.

This was a foul up by CSC or VSC (whoever had it) and you can bet it was not just 1 case, but a batch of cases that were sent to NRC erroneously.

Why? Software programmed 'wrongly' combined with stupid humans , makes for a very bad routing.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I will tell you that my case was approved at a local office. I actually had an interview with an immigration officer that came from the san bernardino office who said i was red flagged because i was a military member. After presenting all of my evidence to her she approved my file. My hang up after that was that they sent my petition to their archive center.

Well, shut my mouth.

Yup, yer the exception for local office interviews.

Regardless, I'm happy for ya - that the casefile made it into NVC.
