Moved from spousal visa forums to the AP forums.

Lots of people, especially men from Egypt go through AP. Its quite common. Iv moved your post to the AP forums so that you can get more support from others stuck in AP as well.

AP is basically more background checks on the person before issuing the visa. It can take a few months to years, basically they have no set timeline for the AP process.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Welcome to the forum.

The MENA regional forum may be another venue to check out other folks that are stuck in AP.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)

Virtually everyone has gone through this. AP is normal and even mandatory in MENA countries.

Don't ever do anything you're not willing to explain the paramedics.

My husband's interview went very well and in the end the result was AP. They had everything and they said there was not problems they just needed more time. Its been 11 months now in AP.

Do you contact them and try yo see what is taking so long? Did they take your husbands passport at the interview?

Hello everyone,

I am put under AP as well today. The interview was brief, after they screened my docs, I had to wait 15 minutes before they called my name.

Questions asked:

1. Where does he live?

2. Does he live in a house or apartment?

3. When did he visit you?

4. When did you visit your fiance?

5. What does he do for a living?

6. What are you planning to do after marriage?

7. So you met online?

Afterwards, the CO gave me a brochure about trafficking and domestic violence for me to read.

Then he gave me the dreaded yellow slip 221G. I immediately asked him whether there is any document that is missing

And he said no. Told me not to worry and the embasy will contact me in few days about the status.

They have my passport, original birth cert, fiancè original divorce decree. That's it.

I'm beside myself. I have everything they requested on the checklist.

I'm so worried. Is there anything that I can do to expedite this AP process?

Any insight guys? Thank you. Good luck for us!

Am sorry to tell you this ..but after i read the law 221g means there is a messing documents, but obviously there wasn't and he/she ( CO) didn't have enough time to go through them all so they put you under AP so they can take their time making sure all documents are there, You should be thankful its 221g not 212g or the others.

Good luck

Good luck
